nibble alternative

So I have stumbled across a good trick when I find myself poking around the kitchen between meals. It's my take on "Shovelglove" except with a cast iron skillet.

When I'm in one of those nibbling moods, I have stopped and done a bunch of reps with the heavy iron skillet (row the boat, rock the baby, squad down to cook on the campfire, scratch the back.... whatever I can think of) and in just a few minutes, not only have I worked my muscles, but my heart rate is up and I'm thirsty for a glass of water and not looking for food. I hope this keeps up! Unfortunately I can't do it more than once a day or I might hurt myself, but if it stops one snack attack in its tracks per day, it's worth it). Also my skillet will become easier to lift.

Great idea. I'm gonna try it. Going for a walk helps too.

I think that it's not only the diversion, which is always good, but also the surge in activity perhaps gets your body to tap into either your glycogen reserves or into your fat. You start burning them and the hunger goes away.

LOL! I love this!

I was just picturing myself swinging my pots and pans around in the kitchen and the expression on my kids faces... :D

I forgot to say that I have several cast iron pans and I keep them just because they're heavy. I figure as long as I have to keep lifting them, I am at least that strong.
