Post by ~reneew » Mon Jul 30, 2012 7:27 pm

I challenge you to complete one PERFECT week (7 days, starting whichever day you want) sometime during the month!
If you fail... you still have the rest of the month to complete it. If you get cocky... see how many perfect weeks you can do!

-This is for anybody who needs encouragement and daily accountability. Think of this as your own little cheering section.

- Post your personal progress once at the top and edit that first post all month. After the 2nd of the month we will continue posting at the bottom for encouragement and fun.
- Please re-read that last one, some people don't get it.
- Anyone can start whenever through out the month. The more ~ the merrier!
- good luck and have fun with it!

I guess this doesn't work unless you actually do it.

Yea, great, then... the I-did-it-now-i-don't-have-to mentality hit. Ug.

This Month Better Than The Last!

Post by jenp » Mon Jul 30, 2012 11:01 pm

My personal challenge for this month is to have less red days than last month. In July I had four. That means my goal is three or less red days in August!

I WILL REMEMBER THAT OBSESSING ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS MAKES ME FEEL CRAZY, BUT STRAIGHT UP NO S MAKES ME FEEL FREE!!!

Aug 1 :)
Aug 2 :)
Aug 3 :)
Aug 4 S DAY! :)
Aug 5 S DAY! :)
Aug 6  Ugh. I am getting so frustrated. I'm still in the middle of moving, but this was just excessive eating to avoid dealing with stuff. Plus I have not lost a single pound since I started No-Sing two months ago, so I know I'm way overdoing it on the weekends. I feel pissed at myself.

Hi, I am back again after a difficult year, and would like to join in. I am in NZ so I will be a day ahead of most of you! It is already well into the 1st but all is good so far.

1 Great day. No S success and a 3 mile run!
2 All Good. No S. no problem. Walk, 4K.
3 Success. 6K run
4 S-Day 6K run
5 S-Day Ran 2 hours, no idea how far!

We can do it

Post by elainewh » Wed Aug 01, 2012 3:05 am

Thanks ~reneew, I think I can do this challenge! I'll use the HabitCal colors again for diet and exercise: ':)" for exempt (S) days, '' for success, and "" for failure. I'm doing vanilla no-S and taking two floating exempt days for exercise per week.

August no-S/exercise
08/01 "" / '' Oops! I ate chips and salsa while we waited for dinner just because they were in front of me at the restaurant! I'm doing pretty well when I have a plan, but some of the old, bad habits die hard. Seven days will have to start tomorrow.
08/02 '' / ':)'
08/03 '' / ':)'
08/04 ':)' / '' I'm looking forward to peach cobbler tonight!
08/05 ':)' / ':)' S-day gone wild; popcorn and two servings of ice cream. Oh well, I'll fix that after I get the no S habit in place.
08/06 '' / ''
08/07 '' / ':)'
08/08 '' / ''

Seven consecutive days! On to 21!

For medical reasons I need to eat 3 meals and two-three snacks a day.
I will stick to my plan, no seconds, no sweets, no other snacks.

Starting tomorrow with an S day so pretty cool. Trying to ensure I don't binge this week..

03/08- S day
04/08 - S day
05/08 -
06/08
07/08
08/08
09/08
Don't be afraid to change.

Extending the challenge?

Post by ironchef » Tue Aug 07, 2012 7:10 am

I've only got the rest of today (one more meal) to go, so I think I will extend the 7 days to 21 and keep going in this thread. I hope that fits in OK.

I just re-started No S, so I am in!

8/7 - Fail
8/8 - Success!
8/9 - Success!
8/10 - S-Day (I'm a Sriday/Faturday person)
8/11 - Success!
8/12 - S-Day
8/13 - Fail
8/14 - Success!
8/15 - Success!
8/16 - Success!
8/17 - S-Day
8/18 - Success!
8/19 - S-Day
8/20 - Special Day
8/21 - Fail
8/22 - Success!
8/23 - Sick Day
8/24 - S-Day
8/25 - Fail
8/26 - S-Day

8/7 - Okay, I started off with a fail, but it was my first day back with No S. I didn't have enough for dinner and my brain was whining, "Not No S again!" It was a good learning experience.

8/13 - Another fail. I thought it was going to be an S-Event, but in the end, it didn't truly qualify, so I get a fail.

8/16 - I am currently avoiding a birthday cake in the kitchen at work. Luckily, it doesn't look at that decedant, so it's not worth the fail.

8/20 - Actually, I have a couple of S-Events today, so it is more like an S-Day. I realize that this will slow down my weight loss and will keep this in mind when making such decisions in the future.

8/21 - Fail! I was good all day but then got home and for various reasons had junk food for dinner, which led to ice cream for dessert.

8/23 - Okay, I wasn't really sick, but I had an unpleasant medical procedure done, I was still feeling unpleasant, and the only cure was beer. And I couldn't have a beer (or two) without a snack (it was way too early for dinner). So basically this week was a total no-go as far as weight loss is concerned, but I know I can't blame No S.

8/25 - Okay, I guess August wasn't my month. :P I am doing well with my exercise habit, so I have something to be proud of. Otherwise, I went for a second plate for lunch and got a fail.

Okay, I am out for August and will try again in September.

Jumping in here at the VERY tail end of this challenge! LOL I have had 2 1/2 perfect weeks for my first experience with No S so I guess you could say I successfully completed the challenge :)

Hoping to hop into the next challenge if there is one for September. Great job to everyone else who succeeded in the month of August. I'm seriously finding this way of eating SO refreshing and freeing so I can't imagine doing anything else at this point!

But I'd rather split into two skinny people!

Just kidding. I'm not big enough for two people, unless it is me at my college weight and a six-year-old child.
