What you've lost? Hold it!

So, as I was headed to the grocery store today my husband texts and tells me that the store has huge 18 pound bags of beautiful looking fresh oranges cheap and that I should get one. Mind you, I live in Iowa where they are all shipped in. The thrifty side of me thought "yea" while the practical side of me thought "I'll be eating oranges till I turn putridly orange myself and I'll have to force the kids to do it too since I'm so thrifty". I put the heavy bag in my cart, then trunk, and as I carried it into the house thinking about how darn heavy that bag was, it hit me. I've lost way more than that bag! Cool. I always tell others to do that, I guess I need to too.
I'm probably at a huge bag of oranges and a few chickens.

What equivalent have you lost?

Probably a bag of sugar. I didn't need to lose much. I like No S because I am going through my late 40's w/o gaining.

With regard to the oranges, get thee to a 2nd hand shoppery and see if they have a juicer. Fresh squeezed OJ is the best and makes a weekend breakfast extra special.

Here in Maine we sell potatoes in 20 lb bags. So I need to lose a sack of potatoes! lol. I have lost about a bag of sugar so far as well.

It is interesting when look at a bag of potatoes as how much we have lost. Sometimes I' 'll look at a ten pound tube of burger and think, I need to lose that, or possibly need to gain that. We 'll have different mediums.

Oranges keep pretty well in the fridge.

I haven't lost any (long term anyway), but I should hold a 25 lb. bag of food just to maybe jumpstart my willpower.....to think I could walk around with that much less weight. I think I've forgotten what it feels like! :)

After the holidays and when doing my stair climbing exercises, it feels like I've GAINED 2 large bags of oranges. But I know that the oranges will dumble down those stairs, and I feel lighter again goin' up... :P :D

We buy Arm & Hammer litter for the cats, and it comes in 20 lb and 28 lb boxes. I buy the 20 lb because the 28 lb are a little big for me to handle (though that is changing, with the upper body workout Nicest Baby is giving me). I'm down 2 small boxes of litter. I once pulled some muscles lifting two of those into my trunk at once...

FYI I have orenges on my counter, in the fridge and in the garage (cold) but everyone is eating them! I may not even get to juice any if I don't hurry.

For short-term motivation hold even a 1 pound chunk of cheese or butter! Even one pound is significant!

I was going to predict that the oranges would go fast.
