Iced Coffee

Post by Ruthie71 » Fri Feb 22, 2013 10:04 pm

Hi. Last night I had a glass of milk with one teaspoon of instant coffee and one teaspoon of sugar. Would this be classified as as S? I figure it's the same as a latte, only cold. Any thoughts?

It's fine.

If it's not sweet enough to be a pudding, then it's fine. The programme is not 'No Sugar' it's 'No Sweets'. You can have a sugar in your hot coffee too! I did this a lot while I was first doing No S, but after a while I realised that I didn't actually need it, it just helped me to avoid panicking about not eating between meals.

Used similar beverages many times. I consider it compliant.

I'm just a newbie, but I think you have to look into your own heart to answer. If you're an iced coffee addict, it might be a sweet.

For myself, I have coffee without sugar on N days. But I know my sweet tooth makes me want the coffee with sugar. Coffee without sugar is more about the caffeine.

A couple a day, like a couple of cups of coffee a day, sound reasonable to me. Get the meal habit down. You can fine tune after a few months.

Thanks for that recipe, I'm not a coffee drinker, but a tsp of decaf a cup of milk, and a packet of sugar and I am happy.
