Welcome!

Since you are new to NoS, I highly recommend you read the NoS Catchphrase glossary at the top of this forum. It is chockful of NoS wisdom, mantras, mottoes, and more to help keep one on track with NoS when diethead/life/stress interfere.

Once again, welcome!

Just a note: Everything you need to know to follow this is on the No-S Diet page. The book expands on that.

Welcome, this is the best diet there is. It doesn't cost a thing beyond your normal grocery bill.

It's not that it's not sacrifice but it's the most productive necessary suffering you'll ever endure. A poor man's diet if there ever was one. I mean, oatmeal as a default for lunch, for golly's sake. Cheap and simple.

I agree Oolala,These large diet companies are raking in the cash, and long term they dont work, its like a treadmill. This principle is so simple.I had a successful S day yesterday (i had alcohol as an S) :D .Loving this way of eating, ant this forum is excellent!!

Hi sugarjunkie, welcome, sounds like you're doing well so far! Someone said in another thread recently, it's the only diet where the diet is also the maintenance. (well, something like that) It's brilliant! :D

What you do to lose the weight is what you do to maintain the weight loss.

You may need to remind yourself of that last bit, as you go along: NoS has many virtues, but speed is not (usually) one of them!

On the other hand, what other approaches are usually fast at doing is bouncing your weight up and down like a yo-yo, so maybe speed isn't such a virtue after all.

Welcome aboard!

If you weren't stuffed for those meals, just give it some time.
