I have decided not to weigh myself until December 2014. I want to focus on changing my eating habits for good once and for all. I dont want to focus on the numbers on the scale, thats not what this is about. The clothes-o-meter will let me know if I am losing. Any thoughts?

I think you are very brave. Escaping from the tyranny of the scales is something I dream about. Back when I was thin I NEVER weighed myself. Why would I?
Go for it!

The clothes will tell you all you need to know. I think you are wise. No S is a fantastic tool for showing us the "long view." You'll get to December of 2014 more peacefully if you work hard on the PROCESS not the end product.

This is something that I struggle with a lot. Unfortunately, weighing myself at the beginning was important for me to understand that I was still eating excessively. If I hadn't weighed and understood that, I would have gained 10 pounds before I noticed.

I hardly ever weigh myself so I'm down with that.

With this question, I think your heart knows. Ask yourself this question,
Do you want to weigh and you feel guilty for weighing? Then weigh yourself.
Do you NOT want to weigh and you feel guilty for not wanting to? Then DON'T weigh yourself!
I fell into the former category, so I weigh myself (and BTW, I don't feel guilty about it anymore).
Listen to your heart!
