I found this mixed-implement, strength/conditioning workout in the newsletter of Bud Jeffies' website:
http://strongerman.com/blog/2006/09/100 ... ntain.html
It combines kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands and bodyweight exercises done in quick rounds with little rest so you really get the ol' heart pumpin'.
20 reps band twists
20 push ups
20 bent over rows
20 bodyweight squats
Done with no rest between sets, repeating five times.
20 step ups
20 half sit ups
20 kettlebell swings
20 dumbbell arm movements
Done with no rest between sets, repeating five times.
50 band pull aways
50 leg lifts
50 kettlebell high pulls
50 double dumbbell presses
Initially I wasn't sure how to do the two band exercises were but after a little searching on the site, I found out what they were. For the dumbbell arm movements, I switched with each round: curls, tricep extensions, lateral raise, shrugs, upright rows. After each 5 round set, I took a 1-2 minute rest during which I squeezed at light hand gripper as many times as I could with each hand just to get more grip work in.
It was a tough but very satisfying workout. You could modify this workout to include SG exercises if you don't own a kettlebell or bands or hate pushups.
Go crazy and have fun.--Mike
