Hi! decided to post in SG since that's how I discovered this site, but I do find all the other Systems intriguing as well. I was glad to find this site. I used to go to the gym, but quit that about 2 years ago to start taking Aikido. That fizzled after less than a year, due to the time it takes to raise 2 kids, although I do enjoy it and plan to go back some day(to Aikido....the kids have 15 years to go). So I took up running instead. That's been going great for about a year, finally putting in some "real mileage", and now I wanted to add some upper body strengthening and toning into the routine. I have a bunch of dumbbells languishing in the rec room, still unused, and was bout to get a chin-up bar, when I discovered this!! I love the simple approach, the KISS principle, Occam's razor, etc. So here's to using clever analogies!
PS - I was alone in the office yesterday and ended up listening to all 30 podcasts. Small office....
New to SG - a hello
Welcome!
Aikido, huh? The martial art that really appeals to me is kendo. One of these days maybe when the kids grow up and go to college I'll take it up.
In the meantime, shovelglove will have to do. Easier to squeeze in between diaper changes (and it will be great prep for eventually whacking people with samurai swords).
30 podcasts in one sitting! I'm deeply flattered that you would submit yourself to that. I guess I should record some more at some point...
Best wishes and keep us posted,
Reinhard
