Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

Just slammed myself with the shovelglove in the back of my head... I'm not sure as to how this happened, but if it wasn't for the thick sweater, it wouldn't have been funny at all
Be careful while performing the fireman at full swing.

I was recently wondering if the sweater actually did anything useful.
I guess you just answered my question...the hard way.

The sweater isn't there
just for nerd chic
.
It's like the difference between falling on safety surface vs. concrete.
Hope it wasn't too painful a reminder and thanks for sharing!

"Form follows function," applied to Shovelglove. I have had a close call or two with a knee and appreciated the protective qualities of "nerd chiq"
