Hoopla!

I managed to get to to the farmers supply store yesterday, and bought a 5kg hammer (that's 11lbs in old money).

OK, so I'm on holiday and having a swath of yellow-coloured "S" days, but I did give it a try and it's amazing the difference.

I think a few days of light duties to get into the swing of things before runig through my whole routine. Still, I'm looking forward to it.

Onward and upward!

Congratulations!

Don't rush in terms of getting your rep count back to normal. You don't want to risk injury, and it's fine if it takes many weeks or even months. It's better, even, because you spread that satisfying feeling of progress over a longer time.

How heavy was your previous hammer?

The old hammer is 4kg (8.8lbs) so the new one is only a kilo heavier, but what a kilo...

I did 14-14-7 today, the first go after a wek of nothing and I was sweating cobs by the end. I've also worked a couple of 'bodyweight' exercises into the routine just to get the heart pumping a little more.
