red - it's the new green

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

Aaargh! - I have totally fallen off the wagon this week.

(The shovelglove wagon, that is. The other one I never even got on, though tracking.)

Excellent! Use the red. Don't let it get you down. Nothing beats redemption. Plain old green from the beginning is nothing compared to the drama of a striking turnaround.

Speaking of 10:30, the clock is ticking for me, too. Here I am diddling with the bulletin board when I have a scant hour left to earn my shovelglove green for today...
