Hello there, fellow shovelglovers!

I got myself a sledgehammer this morning - did my first 14 minutes. So far, it was fun - Looking forward for tomorrow morning.

I was wondering, does someone have a sequence of movements to maximize efficiency on the abs? How many reps? Etc,...

Thanks guys!

The secret is that the further the head of the hammer is from your body, the harder the abs/legs have to work to keep you from falling over.

So... do the regular moves but keep the hammer as far from the body as you can.

Shovelglove isn't really about maximum efficiency in working out any one body part. Most of the moves are pretty full body, involving lots of muscle groups at once (including the abs -- remember the French coals miners who inspired it). In the process, your abs will get a very decent workout. And because your mind is engaged by these complex, realistic movements, you'll keep giving them such workouts -- ultimately getting them (and the rest of you) in far better shape than more targeted, but boring and uncomfortable and therefore unsustainable exercises.
