DIY adjustable dead blow hammer attempt 1 status

Take a sledgehammer and wrap an old sweater around it. This is your "shovelglove." Every week day morning, set a timer for 14 minutes. Use the shovelglove to perform shoveling, butter churning, and wood chopping motions until the timer goes off. Stop. Rest on weekends and holidays. Baffled? Intrigued? Charmed? Discuss here.

bought the basic components, The 6" length of empty pipe with both end caps on it weighed 3pounds 8 ounces.

Filled to the top with lead shot the total only came to 9 pounds 2 ounces.

I will need to try and source some larger diameter pipe, as this pipe was the largest diameter metal pipe the hardware store had.
