2 years shovelgloving and new to the board

My name is Jay , i'm a construction worker and i've been shovelgloving on and off for the past 2 years. Took a 1 year break but i started again last month. I haven't loss too much strength since we use those kind of tools at my jobs but i had lost some stamina. I'm now back with my 20 pounds. I thought if i would do push-ups and squats, i 'd be in better shape, but you know what, since i began last month, my functionnal strength is much better and my stamina is better than ever. Co-worker are asking me if i'm taking pills or other thing
