Shugging the Abs

I'm a noob to shugging & have only been going at it now for about a month. Absolutely love it & am totally blown away by how quickly & happily my body has responded to these new, & escalating, physical demands.

I need help though with working my abs. The posted ab video link is dead and I could find no description of what to do. Can anyone spell it out for me or provide a video link?

Thanks, eh! Shug on, shug off.........

I'm not sure about the video, but I think the idea with shugging is that abs are a supporting muscle group, so they don't get targeted specifically. They will develop over time by doing the usual movements.

Totally agree, blujay. :D

However, on Reinhard's list of "non-canonical movements" is an intriguing thread about a movement that really pushes the abs.

Unfortunately the video is a deadlink and there is not quite enough info on the thread for me to figure out the movement on my own.

I was hoping someone could enlighten me. That movement w/video was originally posted in 2006 so it is quite some time ago.

I'm pretty sure I have this video

"Put up the video," she naively requests.

"Thanks, so much, excellent," she crows, promising to do it on Monday.

How could something that looks so ridiculously simple, that looks like a ludicrously indifferent non-movement disguised as a shuffle, have my abdominals screaming in pain after two days?????

I twist, it hurts. I lean over & pick up anything, it hurts. I laugh, it hurts.

Good grief......... Savages......

Thanks, eh! It hurts so good!!

Borrowing from the clubbell moves, the Hammer Swing, when performed properly hits the abs nicely.

Here's a video:
