So I asked my husband yesterday if we have a sledgehammer. He said "No. Why?". I said that I wanted to use it for exercise and he looked at me like I'm nuts.
Anyway, I don't have a sledge at home. What else could I use to start until I can buy one? I'm pretty weak. I've heard some people mention using brooms. How does that work? It seems like the handle would be too long.
Suggestions?

Thing i've seen so far:
A bookstick = A handle, two books tapped to one end.
A dumbell-club = A baseball-bat with a 2kg-dumbell tapped to it.
14 minutes of play = 14 minutes doing pushups, pullups, squats, lunges etc. without any tools.

So I did my first day today. I used a pitching wedge that I found in my golf bag. It felt good just to learn the motions. I'll get a sledge soon to add some weight. I learned first hand why the "glove" is necessary; my cat was jumping at the club the whole time!
