You might like this Eowyn Challenge, that tells you how far you've travelled, as if you were walking from Bag End to Rivendell.

I confess that I don't keep good enough track of my steps, so I have no idea how far I've walked. I'm probably not out of the Shire yet, though.

Hey Sib, I'm glad to see you are still with us.. I was sort of wondering if you would resurface.. Hope all's going well for you! :D
I'm no Eowyn, and Reinhard's no Aragorn, but whatever keeps you moving, it's cool!!!!

Long live the Shire!!!
Love,
8) Deb

Oh, I'm still around. Its just that work got insane with the moving offices and suchlike. :)
Hey, if I'm just a lowly hobbit that's alright with me. They knew how to eat and move and have good clean fun (although I think they were on the 6 meal a day plan, not 3 ;D)

I LOVE IT!!!

I'm a big Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Silmarillion fan, and I always have my step counter clipped to my waistband. Maybe I'll get out my map of Middle Earth and track my daily walk. I could start by walking from Bag End to Rivendell; wonder how long that would take me?

I think I could rightfully claim the "Gimli" title, as I am sort of built like a dwarf, but too tall by half again.

Esp. the part in the 2nd movie: "Keep breathing, that's the trick. Whoooo!"

Although I think Gimli has more endurance than I currently do, I certainly couldn't run all day long.

I had no idea middle earth was that big. Though I guess they weren't walking in straight lines over level ground.

Goes well with the "Strider" mention on the urban ranger home page and the "smite the orc" shovelglove move.

I wonder if there's a google maps for middle earth... now that would be nerdy.
