Researchers at the University of Texas at Austin found that people suffering from depression who walked on a treadmill for 30 minutes reported feeling more vigorous and had a greater sense of psychological well-being for up to an hour after completing the workout.

And if walking to stay still on a treadmill is uplifting, just imagine what walking around properly in the fresh air would do for people!

I just came here to post that link!
I'm finding that the combination of walking, fresh air, and sunshine is simply a magic elixer. If I don't get enough of the elixer in a given day I get really grouchy!
