Episode 100: Mantrafication Clip Show
Posted by Reinhard on 2025-12-04
For the 100th episode, a clip show of course—in which I revisit Mantrafication and share an actual full clip of my current mantra. Part tour of all the systems compressed and contained in that mantra, part useful tool you could use yourself.

Congrats on the 100!

The way i remember mantrafication from previous episodes (prior to this one) is I remembered
the mantras concept, which i thought to be very useful, but i totally forgot
the system included listening to the actual recording! I remembered daily repetition concept,
but i somehow thought the mantras were to be spoken out (or in) in the morning, not listened to.

I guess this might be the reason the system didn't get the public traction or attention it deserves:
it relies on a dialed-in relationship with the tape recorder or phone/headphones.
You have it dialed-in trough autodidact, so it comes naturally, but i think among "older" generations
only maybe journalists have it as second nature, so there is a big population gap.
With younger generations, earbuds as default, and with the rise of mobile voice texting, virtual assistants etc. this radically changes.

So mantrification (and autodidact) were kind of ahead of their time in terms of tech, and the popularity is yet to come.
I will give it a shot, as i am as of recently also a regular wireless earbud user. I can see good application as substitute for scrolling
while walking our ancient and very slow dog, and also while visiting the toilet first thing in the morning - that's when i usually
resort to scrolling and also those situations are inconvenient for notebooks and writing.
I am revisiting urban ranger too, as the swim season is over, so it also pairs nicely with recording and listening
to a mantrafication recording.

P.S. The "feature" i did remember though, and maybe isn't stressed enough in this episode,
is that the specific mantras can be then pulled out "into the mind" during the day as needed
because they are so short and mnemonic, which is cool.
Compound repetition in the morning, pull out any as a reinforcing tool anytime during the day.
