One phrase: "If you can't afford a gym, you can't afford to take the elevator".

I live on the 13th floor.

I've been getting lots and lots of cardiovascular exercise lately...

Nice! That's excellent. I urban mountain ranger only half as many stairs, but it's been fantastic. You will get in ridiculously good shape with 13.

I'm really amazed at how well it's working. I was trying to do some kind of exercise in my room - calisthenics and such - but it was a hassle to make myself do them (and I do not own a sledgehammer, alas); and then I had this epiphany.

As for music - well, I do have a CD out:

The first semester of law school kinda put a crimp in my compositional activities, but I'm still 3/4 done with another piece. I'm hoping to premiere it at a ragtime festival in mid-January, along with all the other ones. So yes, life is good, musically speaking. How is your music going, Deb?

Or how about,

"Even if you can afford a gym, why not use the stairs".

I am on the 11th floor at work and walk up and down at least twice a day.
