What do you mean? Try clicking it. What it allows you to do is quote someone's quote like I did above. :)

Like that. :)

Seriously... the way I find it best to use is click it, you get a [ quote ] tag in your message. Then go and find the text, copy/paste it in, and then click the quote button again to get an ending [/ quote ] tag.

One thing I've found is that the quote tag always gets inserted at the end of the message. (same with all smilies, etc.) Not sure if that is intended, or if the board authors have unintentionally discriminated against my browesr (FireFox.) :o

Not a big deal if like most rational people, you just type your message in left-to-right, forward fassion. Kills me though as I often go back and add or change things before I submit...

Thank you, that was fairly vague! LOL....
Justin, it's just a good thing you are cute and can get away with that computer saavy sassyness! LOL....

Jammin Jan, the thing these guys aren't mentioning is that you have to
1. click reply
2. click quote
3. scroll down to the message you want to quote, highlight the section you wish to insert, and then, drag the whole highlighted section from the lower box up into your new message...
4. then click quote again to box it off....

Ah computer stuff  ,,, so bewildering and frustrating until you realize the magic step you missed!!!!
I just did this for the first time!!! Ha ha!!!
Love,

Thanks, you two, but I think I may just continue copying and pasting. Of course, now I can do that in color!

Sincerely,

Typing

Just copy the text you want to quote, then type the word "quote" enclosed in brackets: [].

Paste the text you want quoted immediately after that last bracket:

then type "/quote", enclosed in brackets: []

:D
