Everyday Systems

I just wondered, because I sometimes write stuff on my check-in and then write additional stuff later in the day as an edit. If someone were following my check-in as a topic (not that I'm saying anybody does) , they would get alerted when I post a new message initially, but would they be alerted to any changes I make to that same-dated posting as edits later in the day or would that not trigger a notification?

I would prefer edits also to trigger notification, or at least if they were substantial, they could be of interest and might be missed otherwise. Not sure how to find this out, but I'd like to know, or suggest that edits somehow be notified to those following a topic.
