Happy Sunday All !
Did my powerwalk aerobic video first thing this morning to energize me. And it did ! Should be able to get in some more yard work today, might plant some sunflower and phlox seeds.
Breakfast was nonfat vanilla yogurt with a handful (literally) of Kashi Go Lean cereal, dried cranberries, chopped pecans, chopped apples, cinnamon and flax seed. Certainly a breakfast that lasts a long time as each bite has to be chewed - and chewed - and chewed. Tastes so crunchy and refreshing.
Lunch was a big, juicy, red grapefruit along with a couple of slices of apple spread with peanut butter that my husband couldn't finish. Both were great.
Got some of my flower seeds planted - spread some back into the woods for the wildlife to enjoy. Planted iris plants that way years ago, while dividing my beds, just threw them back there, they don't actually need any planting. Now there are hundreds.
Packaged up some heirloom hollyhock seeds for some friends who have requested them - the original seeds dated back to my great grandmother's garden. They are the original single petal variety, not the ruffled ones sold most often today. Both are lovely, the newer ones remind me more of carnations than hollyhocks.
Got in another session of aerobic power walking (this was 2 miles, this morning was 1) on my computer while watching the Cards play on tv - true multi tasking. It was a fun workout. I really like Leslie Sansone, Denise Austin is just a little too perky for me.
While the laundry was washing, I listened to some country music on the radio and did 45 mins on the exercise bike. Loved both. Then I made me a salad, a big salad.
I told my husband that I know why people just grab a bag of chips or cookies or something when they are hungry (which I was). Making a salad involved, washing and tearing the red oak lettuce into bite sized pieces, chopping a chunk of cucumber, chopping up a boiled egg, slicing black olives, halving grape tomatoes, grating some cheddar cheese, then opening and adding Texas toast croutons and onion lemon pepper crisps. adding some pineapple chunks along with getting out the pomegranate vinegar. Worked up even more of an appetite making the salad

It was, of course, great. Ate half, will eat the rest a bit at a time until dinner - making the husband a small salad, oven baked tilapia and broccoli/cauliflower pieces (I shall eat a few bites of the latter probably.)
Then wrap up yet another wonderful day in the Ozarks,
Bring on Monday, back to work.
