Yeah, I'm working on the exercise, doing pilates once a week at the moment and trying to run every other day. Lots of strange pains in my ankles though.

Day 53, 54, 55: SUCCESS

Day 56: FAILURE

Had a bit too much iced tea with the evil sugary syrupy stuff. Some days I'll allow it, but yesterday definitely seemed unacceptable.

Day 5: SUCCESS

Had a couple of extra bananas, but I think that's allowable given that I was feeling very shaky. Might need to add a regular snack on days when I go running.

Week's not going well so far, will see how it goes.

I seem to be able to get up to about 2 months then fail.

My definition of what counts as failure is *relatively* solid, although I do waver slightly on a few borderline things.

Pondering trying something on top of No-S, like weightwatchers or something. Not sure though - getting a lot of exercise at the moment, hopefully that'll have good effects soon.

Well M.. If I may be so bold.. I really think you really should focus on how many Successes you have.. Sounds like you expect perfection from yourself..
Two months and then a failure sounds fantastic to me!!!

Weight watchers will bore the crap out of you..
You will hate it!!!
Trust me! LOL..
Just try to pick more veggies and less "funny stuff" and up your water...

You never really write that much so I have no idea how much weight you want to lose, and how much you have lost...
Maybe you're just on a plateau...

Please! Do yourself a favor and give yourself a great big hand for your great work!
I'm sure, though people might not want to admit it, that plenty of us have more than one failure in 2 months straight..

Again,,,
You are my hero!

Peace,
Deb

I'm measuring mostly by how thin I get :) Had a lot of initial success, but it seems to have slowed recently.

Started at about 103kg, at about 93kg now and seem stuck, want to get down somewhere around 70kg (it's not a hard target, but BMI suggests somewhere around there would be a healthy weight for me).

Exercise is my focus at the moment, doing running and pilates when I get the chance.

Pilates is great - I can see Yoga working too, but I talked to a RSI mailing list and they thought Pilates was less likely to make me worse.

Oh, and been having a bit of a problem with growing caffeine consumption lately. It's not yet a big problem, but it is worrying me.

It's not really no-s, but I tend to avoid it because my preferred forms are xpensive, as reinhard says diet drinks can do weird things to your appetite, and too much of it keeps me awake at night!

That's funny. I've had failure dreams, too. Maybe you should keep 2 counts, one for waking life and the other for the unconscious :-)

I love that you're keeping a running count. I think it's a good self disciplinary technique. I'd probably do it myself if I weren't utterly confident in my ability to no-s at this point. And you've had some very impressive runs!

Congrats (I hope) on making it to 21 today and looking forward to a new record,

Reinhard

Hi M!
If you want to help kick a cough, then stay away from all dairy, since that increases the mucous...

It's nasty tasting, but there's also and herb in extract form you might want to try.. It's called Horehound!
But in choosing nasty taste over lingering cough, I'd pick the first...
Also, lemons and water, a great decongestant...

Feel better!
Peace,

I'm a big fan of sage tea & honey.

But I like dairy! Maybe I should try to cut down for a few days...

I'll keep an eye out for horehound but I don't think I've seen it in shops.
