If I may ask, what bodyweight video do you do? Does it vary? tx

Hi Oolala.

The videos keep changing, as I mean to curate a collection of those I like.

I can't think of a convenient way of posting my bookmarks.

If you don't mind, I'll drop in later to link to a few.

Since it's handy, here's today's, which I found very good:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_Z9iWe ... 6i&index=1

It is yoga-inspired, but modified to emphasize bodyweight strength work.
It has 4 or so exercises, repeated in 4 or so sets.
It's strenuous, but the number of sets, after all, is up to the user.
Includes token warm-up and cool-down, which I'd seek to boost some.
No music.
Needless to say, it's all personal.

Have fun.
Good luck on your journey, Oolala.

That's a good looking workout based on the Sun Salutation. Looks it might help my flexibility issues. I may give it a try occasionally instead of the Five Tibetan Rites which I've been doing. My attention span gets bored on the same routines. Thanks Jackn.

Hi whoson.

In my opinion, this workout is about strength rather than flexibility.
Though it is yoga-inspired, I'd say yoga it's not.
I'd personally go for yoga proper if flexibility is what you're aiming at.
My two cents'.

The Tibetan Five Rites...
Never heard of them.
Looked them up.
Promising - might use them at night, when I'm tired as a go-to-bed ritual.
Don't know, need to study.

Thanx for sharing.

Hi again, Oolala.

Hoping that others, too, might be interested, I ended up posting a list of fave bodyweight workouts on the general forum, rather than here: https://everydaysystems.com/bb/viewtopi ... 047#174047.

Hope it's alright by you.

Hope the sleep clinique has been profitable.

Thanks for the links. I have some moves I do (intermittently) cobbled from various workouts. Sometimes I'll put a video on and still do my own thing, but the video will keep me moving. And I sometimes find new moves I add in, or even videos I follow. But I'm not very consistent. I guess I believe I will somehow be the exception on the value of consistent movement. (Denial plays a darn big role in adopting- or NOT adopting-beneficial eating and exercise routines. I'm in it now!)

I admit I have not kept up with your whole thread, but was intrigued about your having kept track of the day number. Just for the heck of it, I went back to the first page and browsed a bit. I found an entry that said you binged on one of the first S days, I think, and that meant it didn't go well.

I wonder now what you think of that estimation. Does it really matter now? Is it possible that it actually went very well, that it was absolutely right on track?

You may have even said so in a later post I missed.

Do you mind repeating, if you've said it already, where in France you are? Do I have that right? Or of course, you can prefer not to say.

If you are where I think you are, you are heading into night. Enjoy the rest of the day, and have a good week.

Hi Oolala.

I live in Lyon.

I don't practice NoS.
I did learn a big thing from it, and it's stable - no snacks, only meals.

I've been on intermittent fasting for three weeks now.
I was on it for months at some phase in the past, and for some reason stopped.
I like it a great deal.
I practice no breakfast 18:6, namely eating two meals between noon and 6.

Will report in greater detail at some point.

What's up with your food life?

oh, im practicing IF 16:8 for year and a half now... and 3 plates, not 3 meals, since i have discovered noS... even on S days, most of the times...
i plan to move to 18:6 version with 2 plates in 10 years or so, when i enter my 50s... and my metabolism slows down even further...

i have found it to be a great way to give my digestive system some rest and put some order in eating habits... it cleared out my night snacking... that part was a bit challenging in the first couple (or 3-4) of months on IF, but also the most beneficial...
and since quite some time i can say that i dont even think about IF as a "thing" any more (something like being a vegetarian for 21 years now, no brainer)... it is such an easy and beneficital habit, i find...
im curious how it is working for you...

So you allow for seconds and sweets at the two meals?

My food life is rather erratic these days, though I still feel basically "married" to No S. We're just having a rocky time. I think it will take until sometime into the new year to have a long term pattern for the future emerge. I see some form of IF involved, but I actually think of that as just modified No S.

I see, Oolala.
Good luck with your practice.
Thanx for sharing.

I don't think of it in terms of 'seconds and sweets'.
Please bear with me.
I eat whatever I please at any meal, with whole foods making up the exclusive make-up of the vast majority of meals.
But tomorrow, I'm contemplating bread and cake for lunch, because I feel like it.

I eat to satisfaction, and often beyond.
I hope to learn to stop at satisfaction.
In addition, the q of how much doesn't really arise, as the IF'ing, by and large, is both satisfying and pleasurable, and getting more so with time.

Your mod sounds very habit-friendly and relaxed. Fits the zeitgeist of No S, if not the canonical rules, not that that matters.

jackn - I didn't realize that this was how you approached your meals. It's very similar to how I modify NoS, and the main reason for my success! So I wish the same for you. :) I admire your diligence in tracking things, and the informative simplicity of your updates. Keep up the great work! :)
