Hi everyone, my name's Lal...I'm 34 years old & have been a binge eater for the past 6 years, my weight has pretty much stayed within a 14lb range mainly down to dieting & over exercising the binges away.
I have tried no s before but the restrictive diets always crept back in so I've decided to keep myself accountable here starting tomorrow.
I would be grateful of any input or suggestions from people already established with the no s way of life xx
starting weight: 9 stone 9lbs
Height: 5ft 5inches
Goal weight: - (just no more binges!)

Welcome! I came to No S six years ago after decades of troubled eating that only got worse even after some temporary reprieves. I was exposed to similar ideas at about your age, but not the mix of N and S days that helped me so much, nor to the idea that it wouldn't damage me to be legitimately hungry and still wait until meal time to eat. I heartily hope you will embrace this and work out the kinks over the next couple of years. It may not take that long, but don't be discouraged if there are ups and downs.
I recommend that you read the phases thread and browse the testimonials, the catch phrases, and old thread topics for cases that seem close to you. I don't recommend you look at the mods thread until you've been at it several months, and limit even that to people who've been at No S for six months or more. Many people start modifying in the first weeks, but it seems all but the exceptions live to regret it.

Day one is down & im putting it as a success...not a success as in a no s 'n' day as my mum brought over dessert & I had a serving of it but a success as in she normally leaves leftovers & as soon as their car leaves the driveway I'm face first into the 'bad' foods, this didn't happen tonight so I'm taking that as a victory! Also I've made a decision that if someone is cooking for me on an 'N' day I will eat what is offered including desserts...my family & friends have seen me start & restart diets over & over, I'm going to keep no s to myself...I don't have a huge amount of weight to lose so no s to me is about getting my sanity back around food including the odd cheeky pudding here & there 😜
Food today...
Breakfast: porridge with banana, blueberries, chia and cinnamon
Lunch: sandwich, crisps and grapes
Dinner: 2 x ham rolls, crisps, cheese & a dessert
Not a healthy day food wise but a non binge day
x

Looks good! NoS will definitely help you to have a better relationship with food. That is the best part of NoS actually imo so I think you really have the right attitude.

That was definitely a victory.
How is it going? Is no news good news? Don't be shy if it's not. It sometimes takes several runs at the fence to get over it.
