Of note: Went to lunch with friends and did not devour the basket of chips. Instead, I put a reasonable amount on my plate and ate only those.
I was also very tempted to snack in the afternoon and grabbed some pretzels from the kitchen. I thought about wanting to have a successful day and put them back though.

Isn't it wonderful what habit can help us do? I was at a funeral yesterday and there was a lunch afterwards. There were cookies there and everyone was grabbing handfuls and going back for seconds. I realized that it took very little willpower to say no. And nobody cared! (More for them )
Congratulations on saying no to the "office treats" pitfall. I am lucky in that the office treat bringer (a sweet lovely motherly person) retired so temptation doesn't rear its head all that often. However it seems as though your "treat bringers" are out in full force!

librarylady -- Thank you for the support! I actually like to bake treats, so I am usually the bringer of temptations. I'm trying not to eat what I bake.librarylady wrote:Isn't it wonderful what habit can help us do? I was at a funeral yesterday and there was a lunch afterwards. 5/20/2016 - FAIL
In the interest of being honest, I think it's good to admit this was a failure. There were a few things: I ate a few bites of some homemade bread that someone brought to work in order to be polite. And at lunch, I broke t the "one plate" rule by eating a small side of pretzels that didn't fit. And at dinner, while I did only eat what was on my plate, it was a very large plate, and I'm feeling quite full.
It's worth mentioning that while I consider today to be a FAIL day, I did not go overboard with the snacks, managed to turn down some other snacks later, and definitely did not just say F-it and go crazy. That's an improvement. It was also a learning experience to see how full I was after dinner.
