Janine's Check In

Hi. My name is Janine. I am happily married and a stay-at-home mom to 2 beautiful daughters, 8 years old and 18 months old.

I am 5 feet tall and at my highest non-pregnant weight of 172. It's embarrassing. I love to eat. I go back for seconds just because the food tastes good, not because I'm still hungry. I love sweets. I like to bake. Dangerous combination.

I would like to start being held accountable for this lifestyle change and get down to a healthy weight so I can work on having a 3rd child. I won't dare start a pregnancy at this weight.

That being said...

January 2 - Day 1: SUCCESS
January 3 - Day 2: FAILURE- I made a cheesecake. I had to have some.

January 4 - Day 1 - SUCCESS
January 5 - Day 2 - FAILURE - COMPLETE DISASTER - Chili's... queso & chips, cheeseburger, molten chocolate cake.... SMH!

We'll try this Day-1 thing again tomorrow.

Hi, Janine! Welcome. Man, that meal at chili's sounds delicious! You can do this. Eventually those red days will get fewer. I also love sweets and enjoy baking.

Welcome, Janine!

Don't feel like you have to keep starting over if you mess up--give yourself time to transition and try to have as many green days as you can. As you get used to No-S, I'm sure you'll be able to have more and more of them. You can do this!

Thank you, Merry!

I was going to try to keep this past weekend as No-S days, but I decided against that as I feel I would have been sabotaging myself.

So...

January 7 - Day 2: S-DAY
January 8 - Day 3: S-DAY

Today, so far so good, but we shall see what the rest of the day brings. :D It's such a simple concept, it seems it should be so simple to handle.

January 10 - Day 5: SUCCESS

Some funny business at lunch though. I ate a half a sandwich and then a few pistachios, and then a couple of nachos from my kid's lunchable. All of which could have definitely fit onto even a small plate, but that's not how the meal was eaten. Nonetheless, still a SUCCESS in my opinion.
