Bounce back, emptydog. Remember the 12 tries pseudostatistic. Try to learn from the failure. What did it?

Hey emptydog, the day is still young. Keep at it. No such thing as failure, just new beginnings.

I like Jan Tz's suggestion, Emptydog. You seem like a man of few words....so let's work at removing "failure" as one of them!

Emptydog! You reticent style cracks me up!
Sorry about the failure though  ...
I was 250 lbs before I walked into Lakeside Hospital in Metarie Lousiana 9 years ago, to give birth to my wonderful son...
And I am only about 5'3! That was a very tough time... I'm now about 208 and I'd like to be around 170...
Things will improve...Stick to your guns, and if I may be so bold, can you post *two* sentences next time! Hee
Well, you're very mysterious this way... LOL...
How did you find NoS anyway? Just curious! You have us on the edge of our minimalistic seats!
(well at least figuratively, as my seat isn't so minimal!)
Peace and Good luck!

Yesterday was a lot better, but not what I would call countable. I think that if I reflect on the past day and have peace of mind, then it is worthy to be counted.

I thank you for your kind comments and encouragment.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Yesterday could be counted as a success. But it was a sloppy day, if that makes any sense.

I want to get the habit established on a good, strict basis and not days that are 'sort of okay'

Best wishes to all for a great day.

I understand the notion of a sloppy success, and agree that when you're starting out, it's best to avoid such fuzziness as much as possible (be "comically strict" as R. says). Since you're aware of this, you should have no problem achieving some clear-cut successes in the near future. Enjoy your first S weekend!

Empty dog :)
The strictness is there to help us, not make us feel bad when we aren't able to be so strict... Did that make sense? LOL It doesn't mean that a "sloppy" success, isn't still far preferable to not trying to change at all...
The ultimate goal, I believe of NoS is not just to lose weight, but to have a plan that is liveable and maintainable for a long happy life... In the end, if you are not over eating, and not over sweeting, you will defintely lose weight, even if you have some "sloppiness" As you can see from some of the posts, sometimes things "come up" which require a little improvisation logistically... Like times when people use "virtual plating..." at parties and stuff.. It's still being conscious, and I say, it's still being strict... Maybe not in a purely literal sense, but with the same end results... Good habits...

In what way was it sloppy anyhow?
No plates? What?...
Have a nice weekend!
Peace and Love,
8) Deb

Sometimes it takes multiple tries at NoS to really get the hang of it. I'm on my second serious attempt now, too. You can do it!
