Kevin's new check-in

Okay. I'm the prodigal fool. After more than a year and 25 pounds - then a year and a half of gently easing off - I'm back up to almost where I started.

It was so easy to backslide. A celebration at work here, a Friday night there... then I'm back to my old ways.

So, today starts a new 21 days.

Wish me luck.

Kevin you are certainly not a fool. Cut out the negative talk..
I too back slid into old habits from about last August till mid Summer this year.. I gained 12 lbs back and became completely inactive.
The most important thing is that you are back and turning things around now!
So let's stick it out this time!
I'm rooting for ya!
It's so great that all these NoS people are still here. I think the danger comes when one goes away from the bulletin board for too long.
Have a good week :D
Peace and Love,
8) Debs

Thanks

Nice to hear from you, Deb. I have been away from the board for too long.

Day 1 - Success

Lunch was not quite No-S purist: there were sandwiches at work, and I took only a half the first time up, because I wanted to leave more of a selection for the other meeting members. Then I took another half.

No-S Success

(I did put a piece of chicken in my mouth while I was cutting it up for dinner, but I'm not going to declare the day a failure because of that.)

Kevin,

It's great to see you again here. If it's any inspiration, things worked out pretty well for the original prodigal son, as I recall. :-)

That's just because the end of the story is missing. The prodigal says sayonara to his Dad again, and his brother tracks him down and opens a can of wupass on him for being such a jerk. And the big brother is a tough guy becuase he spends all day swinging heavy farm implements, you know...

Day 4 (Friday) and Day 5 (Saturday)

Day 4 (Friday)
No-S Success
SG - Exempt because my hands hurt from Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions (damned wooden handle is just too skinny).

Day 5 (Saturday)
No-S Exempt, but I was very moderate on snacking, which feels really good.

SG - Intend to SG tonight after wrapping the handle with some tape to increase my grip.

Day 6 (Sunday)

No-S S day, but I did not gorge like I have on previous weekends. So, success.

SG- Success . Heading for the basement right now... much happier since I taped the handle last night. Hands hurt a lot less.

Day 7

No-S - Success.

My daughter baked cookies and before I could think about what I was doing, I had half of one in my mouth. It was a nice moment with the kid. Not going to feel too bad about it.

SG - Success.

Well done for getting back up out of 'do your own thing' land and back to the happy reality of No S.

Kevin,

Great to see you again here!

I've quoted you in so many places on the site that you can't ever really leave, but still :-))
