Catlady's check in

Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

Catlady's check in

Post by Catlady1975 » Fri Apr 24, 2009 12:13 am

So I started back on the No S Plan today.

Breakfast - mixture of peanuts and raisins. Verdict on raisins? Hope they are something I can do on No S days.

Lunch - a personal frozen pizza

Dinner - chicken fried steak sandwich/ some fries and a small portion of broccolli cheddar cassarole.

So far so good.

I'm not Reinhart, but my understanding is raisins are fruit, with no sweetener added, and therefore A-OK. I put them in my oatmeal all the time.

Congratulations on a good first day.

That's good to know about raisins. I cannot have any artificial sweetner of any type so I like my oatmeal to be a bit sweet and raisins are perfect. I used organic raisins. I get severe migraines whenever I have any artificial sweetner.

This Native Texan's mouth is watering. . . sure we have what they call CFS in the heartland. . . but believe me, it's clearly not the real deal. Sure I can make real chicken fried steak but it's a real mess to make and clean up so I don't do it often.

I hope that chicken fried steak sandwich was awesome. I need to make a trip "home" !

And isn't it delightful that it's not "against" the rules!?

Keep up the good work!
