My first daily check in post 8)

Diets. Been there, done that. Every diet there is for at least a day or two (except for the expensive home delivered ones). Time to fire it up and hit the NOS.

This week I am visiting my dad in Colorado. It's easier for me when I visit people because I don't want to be piggy with their food in their house. I do have some "snacks" in my suitcase, some plain almonds and sunflower seeds. I am eating them at meal times though, if at all, and saving them for the weekend S Days :D

I bought a copy of the No S book for my dad, he wants to make a pact that we will each remove 1 lb per week. I have had success all this week, the hard part for me is the no snacking. It's interesting when you pay attention and notice how OFTEN you reach for whatever is closest when you're not the least bit hungry.

We're going camping in Chaco Canyon for a day, the trailer is loaded with goodies like sliced turkey, salad, bottled water, good stuff for No S meals. They don't have sweets in the house, the closest is some angel food cake. Ok, that's a sweet. Dang...

I like the title ... 'Powered by No S' ... fantastic !! :-)

Good luck on your journey, 1lb a week is possible, if you apply yourself of course (Also depending how much you have to lose, stick to your diet and exercise)

Cheers !

Marc ;-)

Weekend fun

Well, we didn't go camping after all, dad didn't feel well. Saturday we drove to Telluride and back and stopped for a picnic along way. We had sandwiches, fruit, baked Lays and a bit of chocolate.

Today was a pleasant laid back day. Cottage cheese, 1 slice Ezekial toast, scrambled eggs and an apple later. Lunch/dinner was a HEAVENLY thick porkchop (simmered in buillon), green beans with bacon bits and onion, salad, and baked sweet potato "fries".

A good eating weekend.

P.S. Telluride is no big deal.

What a wonderful week I spent in Colorado! Going there and coming home on the bus (12-13 hours, depending on how LATE it was) made it easy to stick to a plan, and the plan was to eat as little as possible because I did NOT want to use the bathroom on the bus :P While there, we had planned meals and no snacks, unless you count herbal tea as snacks. Now I need to go get my own teakettle.

I have been rewarded for my NOS eating plan, I have lost some lbs this week

Just a "hmmmm". I just thought, I have had very little soda this past week also, I do drink diet only, but I wonder if drinking the tea instead has helped.
