Herbsgirl's check in

Counting carbs/calories is a drag. Obsessive scale stepping is a recipe for despair. If you want to count something, "days on habit" is a much better metric. Checking off days on a calendar would do just fine, but if you do it here you get accountability and support. Here's how. Start a new topic in this forum called (say) "Your Name Daily Check In." Then every N day post a "reply" to that topic as to whether you stayed on habit. A simple "<font color="green">SUCCESS</font>" or "<font color="red">FAILURE</font>" (or your preferred euphemism if that's too harsh) is sufficient, but obviously you're welcome to write more if you want. On S-days just register that you're taking an S-day. You don't have to do this forever, just until you're confident you've built the habit. Feel free to check in weekly or monthly or sporadically instead of daily. Feel free also to track other habits besides No-s (I'm keeping this forum under No-s because that's what the vast majority are using it for). See also my <a href="/habitcal/">HabitCal</a> tool for another more formal (and perhaps complementary) way to track habits.

Hi there Herbsgirl!!!! I think my bites would be huge!!!!

I read some of your posts, I'll have to go back..I know one of my biggest problems is eating way to fast, I can kill off my dinner in less than 10 minutes, if not sooner...

I might start off by slowing down and not rushing thru my meal..

Congrats on the weight loss!

Ahhhh how cool you could share your video with us!!! So after the very restrictive phase of your bites, will you increase over time? Your baby is so cute!

NoSnacker,

Thank you for the compliment on my baby!

The article about losing and maintenance with bite counting explains after the wieght is lost, to set an amount of maintenance bites which will be quite a bit more than the bites it took to lose!! I am working towards 4-5 miles walking daily, so I will be able to eat even more bites when I get to my goal, God Willing. Each mile burns around 100 calories... I think the idea is to slowly increase the bites ect, until the weight stays stable.

http://countyourbites.blogspot.com/2013 ... s-new.html
This quote explains it....
Weight Stabilization: What happens whwen you've reached your desired weight? You've now got to add some food so as to stop losing. With the bite system, you know exacty how much to add. For example, if you already found that you will hold level at 100 bites a day and lose on 80, all you need to do is go back to 100 bites to maintain your weight. IF that doesn't hit it exactly its simple enough to adjust it a few bites either way to come right on target. Continue to count your bites and keep your records so you don't start to regain the weight you have lost

Good job on a 4-mile walk! Do you push the baby in the stroller? Who watches all the other kids for you to be able to do that?

Hi there, I just found a fab article on "7 Reasons to Chew Your Food Properly", posted on the general thread.

Boy I tried chewing slowly yesterday and it was hard....but I guess reading this article gave me more reason why I should be...

herbsgirl, you're losing so much! Do you think you'll still keep posting here after you've reached your goal? Are you still enjoying the bite counting?

I needed to lose weight for some health reasons, and it was a big motivation for me to get it off.

Bite counting is a way of life for me--- a lifestyle change.

Some people count calories for the rest of their life to keep the weight off. I choose bite counting! It just plain works for me! (being able to eat pretty much whatever I want helps) I know a lot of people turn up their noses at the idea :D

:D Thank you for commenting! Not very many people comment on my check in!

I have always liked to count bites to lose weight ect, bu t the turning point for me was I found an article in Family Circle from 1977 where a doctor promoted it as a
lifestyle change to lose weightand keep it off This appealed to me and it clicked. I could do that! If a doctor could use it on 200 patients, then it was legit! Article is here http://countyourbites.blogspot.com/2013 ... s-new.html

I am getting close to my goal, God willing, and I do plan on keeping on posting here for a while anyway!

Hi herbsgirl,
I don't usually comment on your check-in because it just says your bites! :)
If you chat it up about other stuff (kiddos, hubbie-os, school stuff, sad stuff, mad stuff, other idea-stuff) then it gets me thinking and then I can't shut up!

I definitely have one main thought every time I read your thread, which is: how are you going to handle maintenance. I know in theory that you will be increasing your bites until you find the number you can have without losing or gaining. I am interested to read it when you get there. So I am glad you will keep on posting during maintenance!

Thanks for stopping by, Automatedeating!

I should make my check in more of a diary I guess about my life , another thing that might make it more interesting is what I eat of each bite!

You are right about the maintenace, I plan to do exactly what I am doing now, adjusting my bite count as needed to maintain at the weight I want to be at, God willing.

Something I am stressed about right now is that some stuff got into our furnace--packing peanuts and plastic paper. And it was putting off fumes. It made me have headaches.

I contacted our LandLord and he sent a furnace guy out. The furnace guy then said he found packing peanuts and plastic paper in the blower fan of the furnace, and he cleaned it out. He said he wondered if a piece or something got up on the heat exchanger and got hot making the smell. The way I understand it, he didnt actually look on top of the heat exchanger...When I got home after he fixed it, the smell was 80-90% gone downstairs. But that night, it got worse. Not as bad as it was, but just enough for me to have headaches on and off all the time!!!!!!!!!!!

So my dear sweet husband helped me unscrew and unscrew the furnace and we cant find Anything We cant figure out how to look on top of the heat exchanger and we took ALOT of screws out, poked prodded ect ect!!!!!!!!!!

I am so stressed out and stuff. If anyone would like to please say a prayer for me that the smell would go away and that my headaches from it would go away!

I am thinking of ordering some activated carbon filters for all the registers, for the furnace filter, and also making my own air purifier with activated carbon filters and a fan, I saw online

Any other ideas?

Oh my goodness that sounds awful!

The residual smell is probably because that burnt styrofoam stench has to get worked out of the pipes. It makes sense it was worse at night when it got colder.

If the smell doesn't go away, i would definitely call the landlord again. It's in his best interest to be sure the furnace isn't going to break earlier than it's normal lifespan.

Automatedeating- yeppers its pretty cold here!

I was almost surprised to step on the scales this morning and see 165.2!!!!!
15.2 lbs to go to my goal, 150 lbs, God Willing!

I think this Leslie Sansone exercise is really helping me!!!!!!! Doing it twice a day, and also doing 2 miles while fasting seems to boost it?

When I get to maintenance, I kinda just want to exercise once a day, so I need to work up to 4 miles at once.

On my stickk.com commitment this week, I threw some 15 bite days In there for the fun of it and/or just some variety so I could have a few more bites!!!!!

I have to admit I'm quite impressed with how fast you lost so much weight and I'M glad to see you are taking some vitamins!

I tried Leslie's dvd's on line and my back was killing me..I have issues and it just aggravated them..but I did enjoy them...

I have been reading a little about ChiWalking lately. I think they have a DVD too, but I'm not sure if it actually has workouts on it.

I added one pound weights to my workout today, and boy that got me breathing harder! I read on the internet to breathe hard to help depression! In other words, get your heart rate up there, not just a leisurely stroll around the park!

http://fitness.mercola.com/sites/fitnes ... ssion.aspx
"What we're finding in the research on physical exercise is, the physical exercise is at least as good as antidepressants for helping people who are depressed. And that's even better for older people, very interesting, even more important for older people.

And physical exercise changes the level of serotonin in your brain. It changes, increases their levels of "feel good" hormones, the endorphins. And also -- and these are amazing studies -- it can increase the number of cells in your brain, in the region of the brain, called the hippocampus.

herbsgirl, I know you have been depressed in the past, and I know that you are currently not taking your anti-depressants. Are you doing oK or are you fighting off some mid-winter depression?

Automated eating, we did get a new van yesterday 2012 Volkswagon Routan color White. Whe had a 2000 Chevy Astro before! Huge step up! The kids are really excited because it has 2 built in DVD players that pull from the ceiling and heated leather seats!

we had a nice day yesterday in Lacrosse, WI! Hubby took me to Famous Daves barbeque restaurant. I ordered a Jack a Stacker. I had 13 bites at that meal including one bite of bread pudding MMMMM!!! Now I will have a nice amount of jack a stacker sandwich to eat on all week If I want it! Whats nice about only eating a small amount is that I can enjoy my food much longer. I am still eating my portion of cheesecake days and days after my family has already finished theres. Same thing with candy, or anything! Im still eating out of my bag of Christmas candy and cookies in the freezer!

I got a bag of Mini Reese bites yesterday at Walmart. One mini reese bites equals one bite. I like to incorporate a few bites of sweet a day at least!

I got on the scales this morning and was surprised to see that I dropped to 162.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eating hamburgers and bread pudding!!!!!!!!!

Today I published a bites diary of the last almost 3 months. link is here

http://countyourbites.blogspot.com/2014 ... bites.html

Today is an S day which means MORE BITES! 40 bites seems like a lot of food, I ate 10-15 bites a day on my N days this past week! Last Sunday I had 40 bites too and I could tell my appetite has been reset. My body was telling me to STOP, it was almost like my body didn't want more food or something when I was trying to get down over 30 bites at supper time.

Todays plan Eating window from 3 PM to 8 PM

1-1:30 PM: 2 miles brisk walk (Walk away the pounds) while fasting

Lunch- 19 bites
2 multivitamin
2 fish oil (1000 mg EPA)

Snack- 5 bites
2 multivitamin
2 fish oil (1000 mg EPA)

Supper-16 bites
2 multivitamin
2 fish oil (1000 mg EPA)

Later in the day 2 miles Super Walk with body boost cables

aprox 40 bites

4 miles total

Congrats on the new van and the weight loss, Herbsgirl.

When I read about your diet, I often consider you to simply be fasting. 13 weeks is a long time to basically be fasting. I am glad you are taking a lot of supplements, but have you considered the number of weeks you ultimately will be restricting your calories so much?

i actually think fasting is pretty cool, but 13 weeks just seems like a really long time to have your body living off its fat stores. I know you want to get the weight off fast, but have you read much about when people fast for a while, then eat normally for a few months (to rebuild storage of fat-soluble vitamins, etc), then fast again after their bodies have rested from the strain of fasting? Just a thought, I don't mean to be a downer, I've just come to care about you (even on the internet!), and want you to be healthy.

Thank you automated eating!

I do not actually feel like I am fasting. I am eating peanut butter, hamburgers, calorie rich food. I am not eating 10 bites of apple a day :D This is based upon Dr Alwin Lewis book here

http://www.amazon.com/Weight-Around-Cha ... 0615148077

video to watch is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zW7Er0kti_U

where you can actually see the doctor talking about it.

This is a very controversial way of eating, and most people will NOT agree with it or Promote it at all. :D It is the way I have chosen to eat until my weight is lost, God willing, and then I plan to increase my bites to stay at the desired weight maintenance.

I actually eat many more bites than the doctor recommends. He recommends only 10 bites a day until the weight is lost. If you read my bite diary, here.... which documents every days bites you will see over the last 13 weeks I have eaten MUCH more food than Dr. Lewis recommends to lose!

http://countyourbites.blogspot.com/2014 ... bites.html

It has only been in the last month and a half that I have cut my bites to 10-15 bites on weekdays, but I eat 40 bites on Sundays.

I realize that most people will not agree with this, but it is the way I have chosen to eat! :D

I believe the exercise is boosting my weight loss a lot, because I keep upping the intensity

Hi herbsgirl,
I shouldn't have put you in a position to defend how you're eating. I know that we all need to find our own way, and I want to support everyone on this board. I just tend to be pretty transparent about my doubts and I'm quick to ask lots of questions. It's fun for me.

Do you deal much with hunger? I think of you as fasting because when we are fasting, we are not hungry (since our body is getting so efficient at burning fat, making ketones, etc). You haven't talked about this diet as being hard at all.....but are you just super strong-willed and able to ignore hunger  or has your hunger kind of gone away, or were you never super hungry, even in the beginning?

And how is your energy? You are really doing a great job exercising! Sometimes on low-calorie diets people actually get more energetic! I think it's all those ketones.

I did look up a bunch of websites and articles about your bite-counting when you first started, and I totally believe you that it works. You are are living testament to that. :)

I have some hunger, but I am not hungry a lot of the time. This is the Magic effect of Intermittnet fasting. Dr. Bert Herring the founder of the Fast-5 diet (which is what I also do eating within 5 consecutive hours) talks about Somatic Hunger and Limbic Hunger. This quote explains it

http://www.diethobby.com/blog.php?ax=v& ... iet_Review

Dr. Herring distinguishes Limbic hunger, which comes from that part of the brain that connects primitive drives, emotion, and memory, from Somatic hunger, which is the sensation of discomfort in the stomach area that is commonly known as hunger, or hunger pangs. Somatic hunger is the result of the interaction of many hormonal and nerve signals and incorporates more information than just whether the stomach is empty.

He says that Limbic hunger is the reason why it is hard to eat only one potato chip. Eating one chip triggers more appetite because primitive limbic signals tell the brain we should eat as much as we can while food is available. This leads to more eating, connecting in a vicious circle that doesn’t stop until the bag of chips is empty. The ancient instinct takes control of behavior, ignoring higher thinking and preferences. Limbic hunger in a land of plenty causes one to eat too often and too much.
So scince I don't even have one bite until my window opens, I don't experience the hunger for more and more food. Its amazing really! You would think Id be a starving person, but really Im not. I have periods of hunger, but not ravishing hunger day in and day out!

I do have a lot of energy! Intermittent Fasting actually increases energy, like you said! Some days more than others, of course, depending on how many hours of sleep I got the night before ect.

Everything is not perfect, but My mood has improved overall, I am motivated to get more stuff done, I have lots of energy on a normal basis. mY desire to binge and eat tons of food constantly has went down. I still have moments I want to eat more, but I just stop and don't do it (remembering my stickk.com commitment, I don't have a choice) Its all about doing stuff when we don't feel like it, and then we get our desired outcome !

In the beginning back in October/November I was quite hungry. I believe part of the lightening fast weight loss at the beginning, was that I was weaning from the breast pump (I was making up to 60-70 oz of breastmilk a day at one point) and that burns quite a bit of calories. I gradually weaned and Im not pumping anymore!

Ask any questions you want! This is the first time in my life I have been able to eat this way and stick with it with hardly any major slip ups. Stickk.com has helped me stay on track a lot! I make comittments every week for housework, for how many bites I am going to eat, for how many miles I am going to do, for eating slower, for eating smaller normal sized bites. There has been about 3-4 times I haven't made my commitment, but considering that I have made around 53 comitments scince October 14th when I started this journey, I would say that's not too bad! I plan on using Stickk.com to help keep me in maintenance, God willing, in a 5 lb weight range from 150-155. (I only have to pay if my weight goes over 155)

We are having out of state company this weekend, God willing! time to clean, and prepare lots of food. A minister and his wife is coming from Ohio to preach to us, support/encourage us. An out of state minister comes about once a month. I am in charge of the main dish for after church. I am doing barbequed chicken breast in the roaster. Im also bringing cranberry jello salad.

For breakfast I am making Gold Rush breakfast casserole, coffeecake and Yummy mixed fruit salad.

Today My plan is to make the food, get my 5 childrens clothes prepared fro Saturday night and Sunday church, get my daughters room deep cleaned so that the company may sleep in there, plus do my exercising, ect ect!!!!!

Last night started sewing the rugs for our new van we purchased last Saturday. We purchased 5 woven rugs at Walmart and I am sewing and cutting them to fit perfectly around all the seats in the back to make one piece of carpet/rug that can be picked up and thrown in the washer as needed. they wont be kicked up so easy, and it will protect the floor from 5 children's mud dirt food ect.

I got my dress pattern out from before I was married. My ultimate goal was to wear dresses off of that pattern mainly that the waist measurement of the dresses were the same as when I got married! I am happy to say that I am now wearing those dresses with the same waist measurement! IT feels good!

Last night I made coconut blondies for the family with chocolate chips in it. I wanted, oh, I wanted to eat some. but I did not. Sometimes we just have to do things we don't feel like doing.

Have a wonderful day! :D :D

Congrats on fitting into your old size!! That's awesome. Are you at goal weight, or very close?

Have fun with your out of town visitors.

I just had to come here to post a thank you to you. My Yes S experience was totally different today because I ate in one minute increments. Usually I gobble up my food, take seconds and thirds, gobble gobble, and come away with a big giant tummy ache, and I've been doing that for over a year. I read your thread and then the blog about using a timer, and just for fun, I tried it. It felt silly at first. But then for lunch today, instead of taking seconds, I didn't even eat my whole plate of firsts. Wow! And I was totally satisfied. So, thank you for that. :)

Automated eating, yes I am getting close to my goal of 150 lbs, God willing.

Chani8-that is wonderful! I think a lot of people would find that they would lose weight simply be eating slower/timing their bites. I really like the free app or the Eat SLower Pro for this! Its a great combination with No S! Its hard to binge when you eat slow or only one minute per bite!

Thank you ladies for the compliments!!

:D

Chani8- we are German Baptist New Conference (similar to Mennonite)
We don't drive horse and buggies or anything. Obviously we have internet, I have an iphone ect :D but I grew up with no TV in the house, and in a conservative plain family.

I got on the scales this morning, pleased to see that it said 158.8 lbs.

I broke out a sweat with my exercise this morning. I am finding that If I stop procrastinating and just get my hour (or close to it) of exercise done in the morning, I am free for the rest of the day! Well, not free, but you get the idea...I don't have it hanging over my head! Studies show that people do better exercising in the morning, and I believe it! So I am making goals with my stickk.com commitments and my goal now is to be started with exercise by 10:45 am. Maybe someday I will get up early and exercise before the kids are awake!

Exercise has really boosted my mood and made me motivated to do stuff! What was I missing out on all these years??

I got a Sili squeeze for baby from amazon. Its not a bottle, but a squeeze for food, because she wasn't eating solids very good and she will soon be a year old. I blended coconut oil, frozen banana, baby food fruit puree, baby oatmeal cereal, water, formula cottage cheese and put it in the sili squeeze. She actually liked it and swallowed some of it!!!! Yay!!!

I am working on a flowered dress today, maybe I can get that one done and cut out another one for Sunday church, a purple one

I upped my bites to 15 bites a day. It makes me feel like I get a bit more food than 10 bites and my weight loss hasn't slowed too badly

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Habits, stacked one upon another, until before you know it those habits have you skinnier!

Changes, small ones, stacked one upon another, before you know it, your life has changed!

The principle of habits and mealing habits is one of the MAIN thing I have gotten from Reinhard's No S principles. It really works!

You made the 60lb's down mark! Hurray for you!!!

Google makes it sound like your religion is a modern version of the Amish. Very interesting. We used to practice ultra-orthodox judaism (dressed like Amish :), and now we do the modern orthodox (still very conservative) version of Judaism.

It's good to keep tv out. We don't allow tv in the house either. We got internet about 3 years ago and what a mistake! I can't undo it, but I'm just so thankful for the sabbath when it's turned off for 24 hours of family time. I'm curious, does your sabbath allow the use of computers? Are you fundamentalists?

Anyway, enough about religion. We've got dieting to think about! You're doing great on your diet, that's for sure!

Oh and you've got your hands full trying to fight off those colds. That's the worst, when the kids get sick. I pump my kids full of herbs and stuff, like echinacea, vit C, zinc, spicy chicken soup, anything to try to nip it in the bud.

Good luck on your diet and exercise goals and good health to your family!

Thank you Automated and Chani!

Chani, I give my kids lots of herbs and stuff! Isnt it great? :D

Yes I would say a modern version of AMish, however we do feel differently about things.

Yes we do use the computer on the Sabbath, we go to church about once a month!

I was pleased to see 157.8 this morning!!!!!!!!!!

Today was an S day, yeserday was an S day. We went the log cabin resturaunt with the whole family. I enjoyed 25 yummy bites of hamburger, sweet potato fries ect ect ! I even ate butterfinger, candy ect in the evening!!

Today is a yummy meal of baked sweet potatoes, oven fried chicken and salad!!!!!!!! MMMMMMMMMMMM I like my S days! More bites, more food, and yet a place to stop with my bite counting!! I also made marinated ham rolls for supper, popcorn and icecream!

My appetite for tons of food is definatly going down! And going from 15 bites a day to 40 bites a day on S days makes me feel FULL on way way less food than I used to eat....

Just think, I used to eat close to 200 bites a day just before starting this October 14. Now almost 4 months later I am eating about 10x less food than that!!!!!!! TEN TIMES LESS!!!!!!!!!!! Now its easily explainable why I have lost over 60 lbs!

Why do you think you can be satisfied with so little food on N days? I know we're not counting calories, but aren't you likely eating under possibly 500 calories a day? Do you not fear the pendulum swinging at a later date?

Oolala, when I have lost weight with Intuitive Eating combined with Bite counting in the past, I have found my body calls for a very small amount of food to lose weight at a consistent rate. Eating according to hunger would be around 20 bites a day with my body/past exeprience. I am very close to an average of 20 bites a day. Its all about choices. I choose to eat an average of around 20 bites a day because I want to lose more than 1/2 to 1 lb a week. Happy Scale says I am losing a moving average of 2.6 lbs/a week right now, which is a very acceptable healthy rate of weight loss. If I wanted to lose 1/4-1/2 pound a week, I would eat more bites!

Its all about Accepting and being Satisfied with a smaller amount of food. If I choose to eat super healthy like chicken breasts, fruits ,veggies, lettuce, my bite count would probably go up to 40-60 bites a day or more on N days. Maybe even 80 bites! I choose to eat calorie rich food, yummy fried chicken, delicious cheesecakes, and all other forms of gourmet cooking. I would Rather eat GOOD food and eat a small amount of bites than eat LOW CAL food and eat a Large amount of bites

So again, its all about choices! :D :D I have chosen to eat calorie rich food, so I Accept the ending result of having to eat Less bites! someone else might have different choices, they might choose to eat super super healthy and eat 60-80 bites a day on N days, OR they might choose to eat calorie rich food with a moderate amount of bites 35-50 bites a day and lose at a very very slow rate, a lb a month ect. And that is ok if they choose to do that! Just not something I choose to do!

I am close to goal, God willing, about 7.2 lbs away. I know my bite count will go up on N days to maintain my wieght.

As far as calorie counting, that is not something I am willing to do! I cant stand it! :D That is why bite counting is so easy and works so well if someone wants a clear place to stop but doesnt want the hassle of calorie or Point counting.

Bite counting will not be for everyone, but is a viable option for many people that might have otherwise counted calories ect for the rest of their life. And for people who werent willing to count calories for the rest of their life! I look at bite counting as a Lifestyle Change Adding in Reinhards wonderful habits principle has a life-changing effect! Habits, stacked upon each other= success!!

My body will tell me the exact amount of bites it needs to lose, maintain, gain, ect. Or if I want to lose faster, slower ect.... All I have to do is track my bites and weigh daily. The proof is in the pudding! :D

I dropped 2/10 of a lb yesterday. 157.2

I had to laugh at your comment on the 80 bites a day for low cal food. That's me! It can be a lot of bites, lots of chewing, and very time consuming, lol.
I do count calories and love it, so I can understand how counting bites works for you, especially since you're choosing calorie rich food.

I wanted to ask you, have you tried lifting weights at all? You're doing great on the walking, but there is just nothing like working the upper body and core to give overall strength. It's great for posture, tone, bone health, etc. Something for you to think about. A modified shovelglove routine, using just a 1 liter water bottle would do the trick.

I have to say I am a HUGE Herbsgirl Fan!! Go girl!! I am so inspired by you and watching your astounding progress is sooo fun for me! I'm borderline stalker-ish looking for your updates! Lol!

I have cut my portions way down (thanks to you!) and i am finally losing. I am a 2 year old about eating what I want, when I want it but you've shown me that hard work is rewarded with results. I've been no-sing since last June and lost about 10 lbs. i promptly gained those back after a crazy holiday eating-fest. So sad, woe is me- NOT! I ate like a pig and now it's time to face the music! So thank you for helping me grow up! :) I will always have to watch what I eat. Thin people do it, why do I think I shouldn't have to??

Also I need to say you are rockstar-diplomatic! When critics speak up you are always SOOO classy and respond from the heart. Kudos to you! Honestly, an average person doesn't have the willpower to do what you do. Hold your head up high!!

One question though...have you ever joined or thought about joining the slimming station?

Thanks for the inspiration!!

Dhack- Why thank you for such nice compliments! That is wonderful that you are inspired!

Yes, I have thought about joining slimming station, but Ive had a few drawbacks. It costs 50 dollars and I heard from the 5 bite facebook group that Dr Lewis wasnt that active, and that the facebook group was better? :D

Chani8- Actually I do strength training almost the whole 4 miles. I started out with around 1 lb in each hand and now Im up to almost 2 pounds in each hand. My goal is 3 lbs in each hand and up to 20 lbs weight vest worn on my body. I also use the s tretchy bands for strength training while walking and I have different resistances... Leslie Sansone has me lifting my arms and doing all kinds of stuff while Im jogging, walking ect! I just started a new walking Dvd that has HIIT training, and its kicking my rear! :D I will look into shovelglove some more though!
Or a plank! Laughing I've become a big fan of that tough little exercise!
Automatedeating- My chiropractor told me about this exercise for the back, and its supposed to strengthen the back. I also used to do it when I would do Jillian Micheals dvds. The plank really packs a powerful punch for such a quick exercise!

Today I was excited to see 156 on the scales!!!!!! 62.2 lbs down!!

I got my skinny dress pattern copied over onto Pellon and cut out last night! ITs going to take alot of sewing dresses to fill my closet with skinny ones, but I got rid of most of the fat ones, and I need to get rid of more. I think Im going to sew clothes out of the good dresses that are too big for me for my daughters, skirts ect for Sunday...

Herbsgirl, do you have something special (maybe a night out with the husband, or other fun thing) planned to celebrate your weight loss?

I doubt you have a babysitter very often..... maybe this would be a special enough occasion to find one?!
