This is day one and I am so pumped! I believe I can do this!

After all my diet experiments I did learn a little about myself:
1. I feel much better with more protein
2. I have less cravings during the day if I have a substantial breakfast

I will keep these two things in mind as I go through this weight loss process.

I am the same regarding protein and a good breakfast! Good luck!

Well day one was kind of a mix between successful and unsuccessful.
I did have a sweet (one cookie) and a snack immediately following, so in that regard it was a failure BUT the success is that I stopped with the popcorn. You see in the past when I start a binge it keeps going and going. I mean I will start looking for ingredients to make something sweet if I don't have anything readily available. But this time I stopped! I didn't bake more cookies (and I had an entire pack in the fridge), I didn't eat more popcorn, I didn't drink juice, I didn't make cinnamon-sugar toast, I stopped! So if you all don't mind I will say that day one was a SUCCESS!

Hahaha, brilliant. I'm the same - I used to make sweets out of anything available. Truth be told, those were probably still more healthy than the processed sweets in the shop. Still.

And congrats on stopping your binge. Well done. I recommend the podcast on the "What the hell" effect.

Welcome! And great job sticking to your guns. I, too, struggle with binging on anything sort of sweet I can find...like peanut butter on a spoon!!
