I started the plan last week (9/30/2012) and so far, so good. In fact, I lost 1.5lbs which was a surprise since I was sick for most of the week and didn't do my regular workouts.

I'm a 39 year old, married, college professor. I workout pretty regularly but I struggle with unaccounted-for late night snacking and too much sugar. I am so sick of counting calories and eating microscopic portions multiple times per day.

This is my log to keep track of my progress. While I'd love to lose 20lbs, I don't mind if I lose it slowly. Two years ago, I was 2 sizes larger and I dropped inches primarily through my workouts (P90X and gym workouts). I only managed to lose 8lbs. Since I'm a slow loser anyway, I just plan to continue working out and following No-S.

Welcome, I will be interested in reading your journal.

I love Thoreau, my favorite is

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.

Welcome! I gently suggest you try to think more of establishing a workable eating plan for moderate living rather than thinking this will take those pounds off. Even if it doesn't, I think it's a more relaxed way to live. Food is in a proper place in life, allowing for enjoyment several times a day, and small extras occasionally that keep them treats. And yes, trying to spread food out over the day just sounds like a colossal pain to me now. When I'm not at work, all I need to know is if I can get lunch! Hardly ever an issue in these here United States.

I think Thoreau would approve...

And it is likely you'll lose eventually, size if not weight.
