I'm so glad it's the start of a new N day! I told myself that I would behave on S days and not overdo it. Saturday was fantastic. I had popcorn for a snack, no sweets, no seconds. But yesterday, I found myself falling back into the old habit of searching the fridge and the cabinets and snacking at random. I'm glad to be back to a day of structure. :)

Yesterday was a good N day. I am only recently restarting No S, and right now I do feel I'm probably putting more on my plate than I need, but I'm using a reasonably sized plate, (8.5"). So, maybe I'm not doing too badly.

I went shopping yesterday for Lindt Truffles because there was a deal on them at our Walgreens plus I had 8 nice coupons. I took some to my mom and stored the rest in a hard to reach cabinet, not to be opened until this coming Saturday.

I didn't sleep great last night so took a short nap and woke up a few minutes ago craving chocolate. I was hungry to boot, since we had breakfast pretty early. So, instead of reaching for the chocolate, I decided to have an early lunch. It was a close call on breaking into the chocolate, but I'm glad I made the right decision.

As for filling my plate up too much, I am going to start gradually cutting back and getting my portions under control. In the next couple of weeks or at least by the end of the month, I want to be at the point where I'm pretty much serving up normal portions at each meal.

Lindt truffles! good for you on resisting! It's really hard for me to have something like that around -- my mind just keeps going there.

Glad you have come back to No S!

Thank you JW! It's nice to be back to something that makes sense. I am going to give No S a real run this time. No quitting after a couple of weeks!

The Lindt truffles are hard to resist, but I couldn't resist the deal. Aside from homemade candy, they're my absolute favorite. Thankfully, knowing I can eventually have one or two of them make them much easier to resist. :)

Well done on reisting the Lindt Truffles! Count down to the next S day - they'll be so deserved :D

Thank you eschano! I can hardly wait, but knowing the day is coming is helping! :)

It's been the start of a good week thus far!

The first few days of restarting this plan I really filled my plate full. But the past couple of days I decided to reduce my portions and I didn't starve to death between meals, like I thought I might. I am loving eating like a "normal" person for the first time in many years.

As for the chocolate. I did tweak my plan to include some chocolate on N days (some days), but nothing over 100 calories (not that I'm counting calories, well only in chocolate). I think this will make the N days much easier to bear for me, especially certain during certain times. We all have to find what works for us and that seems to be working for me. I hope to use this same strategy on S days, as well.

That being said, I'm eating healthier than I have in a very long time and I think I can live with this way of eating from here on.
