That good to hear :D

I rarely even notice the S days as I try to eat sanely most days, rare occasions call for a dessert - and they are truly occasions.

Welcome to the boards, may each day find you not a total idiot - wait, did that sound right?

Tuesday April 8th

SUCCESS!

Even used my kettlebell for first time, but not for 14 mins, was dead after about five. Will see if I can do longer today and slowly build it up.

Keep it up! I've been a Vanilla No S-er a little more than a month and was told it gets easier. I do believe that :) and the boards have been key for me.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday all to plan!

Don't feel I need to do a daily check in any more but will post weekly weight loss on the other thread.

Thursday, Friday, all good.

Easter Saturday, looked like an N day. Now this wasn't planned to be an N day just no treats, sweets or snacks were good enough to tempt me.

Are you using habit cal? Habit theory says physically keeping track of the target behavior (not the result) is key. Habitcal is a fast way, if you don't want to post on a check in thread.

Or maybe the idea of the mouth gremlins is all it's going to take! I find that one fades as the visit to the dentist gets more distant.

Nice to hear things are moving along.

I think I saw you post that you are back. Great! May I ask if you feel you have any other reason to change your eating habits than weight loss? It just seems that people who concentrate only on that are very vulnerable to plateaus. I myself just couldn't stand the idea that I would keep overeating compulsively nearly daily for the rest of my life after decades of it. Just consistent compliant N days felt like such a gift. I did lose some but then stalled multiple times, but it didn't matter because it took time for my appetite to change and health goals to get real. When health is the issue, it's harder to fool myself. I got somewhat thinner still eating a fair amount of convenience or fast food (along with a lot more nutrient-dense food, too), but when I started to worry more about the health issues of aging, I made more changes to the foods on my plate and some meal timing for awhile, and some more came off. Cutting way back on ultraprocessed foods has made a difference. I won't lie, that makes things harder because I prepare 90% of my food myself now, but I just feel it's too risky to eat much of the other stuff.

Hope to hear from you sometimes here or on the main board.
