No-S Related Photo Book that I Adore (and I am a Library Worker!):

Hungry Planet: What the World Eats

Seeing a week's worth of food for families from around the world really highlights what is too much and what is too little for people to eat.

This does look interesting.... (and rather ON topic, I think!)

I thumbed few it for a minute during frantic last minute christmas shopping. May pick it up again when I have a bit more time to linger.

Thanks for the tip!

I just got this book from the library, based on your recommendation. I love it! It's absolutely fascinating, and fun because you can breeze through the pictures, or really sit down and read more deeply. I like the stats in the back of the book about the different countries -- pounds of meat consumed, number of McDonald's restaurants, percentage of diabetics, amount of alcohol, POUNDS of sugar . . .

It's all really interesting stuff, and it's good to have a visual of the family in Chad eating on 5 dollars a week when I'm feeling "starved" AND when I'm feeling "poor."

Very interesting. Considering how most people in the world live is a great way to gain perspective about our own lives.
