Movie Time

Post by gratefuldeb67 » Tue Feb 14, 2006 4:01 pm

Hey all!
I've been so cooped up with cabin fever!!!!!! Ahhh!!!!

We've been really renting a lot of movies these days, and I just took out a great one which I wanted to recommend to all you guys in need of a little lift!

It's been a while since I saw this one, and I totally enjoyed it!!!

The Marx Brothers in "A Night at the Opera"...
It's great to have these classics available on DVD now..

I always have loved them, but boy this has to be one of the top two films they made..
Has anyone seen it???
The finale at the opera house is priceless!!!!!
Who else would think of playing "Take me out to the ballgame" during the overture of Il Trovatore, and then start a ballgame in the orchestra pit using violins as bats???
LOL!!!!!

I give this a five star rating!
Has anyone seen it recently?

Have fun all!
Peace and Love,
8) Deb

Okay... Dinner and a movie tonight will be featuring the sixties Sci-Fi classic,

Fantastic Voyage!!!

Donald Pleasance as the evil guy..
An 18 year old Raquel Welch in a skin diving suit...
It's campy good fun inside the human body :)

This is such a good one... Who's seen it?
Especially the "modern" sound effects which are supposed to sound futuristic!!!!
Woo hoo...

My favorite part is when the antibodies attack Raquel Welch!
LOL...

Dinner is scrambled eggs with fried onions in butter, and homemade mash with toasted garlic and onions and smmmmothered in butter and plain soymilk...

Have a nice night!
Love,
8) Deb

Richard and I are watching a very moving documentary called
"Born into Brothels"... A film about children of prostitutes in one of the most poor parts of India, and a woman who came and gave them all cameras, and lessons in photography as a means of finding some self worth in a seemingly worthless existance..
Really moving.. A bit glossy, as it's HBO, but there are some images here which will be unforgettable... The stories are heartbreaking..
Worth a rent..

Peace and Love,
8) Deb

ps.. Oh before this we watched Duck Soup!
Hail Hail Fredonia! LOL..

Loved Wallace and Grommit!!!!!

Tonight we're all going to see Curious George. We're holding our collective breaths hoping they don't ruin what we loved from the books.
