Homebrew (not the D&D kind)

Though an avid gamer, i am talking about the other kind of Home Brewing: Beer.
Has anyone else on here given this a try? I have the "Mr. Beer" kit that makes two gallons at a time. Starting with the basic Classic American Light (came with the kit) i'm going to quickly transition into the Robust/Baltic Porters and Irish/Oatmeal Stouts. They also have hard cider kits which i'll be digging into by summer, but thats a while off.
Anyone on here brewed/brewing/planning on it?
