* * * week of 8/28 challenge * * *

Post by ~reneew » Sat Aug 27, 2011 2:49 pm

I challenge you to have an absolutely perfect week. No cheating, slips or close-enoughs.

This is for anybody who needs encouragement and daily accountability. Think of this as your own little cheering section.

- Write down what your "perfect" is at the top of your post and then update us as to how you're doing. Accountability helps!
- *Remember* to only post once at the top and edit that first post all week with an update of how you are doing. It's easier to find each other.
- Please re-read that last one, some people don't get it.
- after Monday we will continue posting at the bottom for encouragement and fun.
- This challenge is meant for all of us to give support, so let's try hard to do that.
- anyone can start whenever through out the week. The more ~ the merrier!
- Be sure to tell us all at the end of the week if you did have a perfectly successful week!!!

I'm in! A "perfect" week for me will be 3 dishes every day Monday through Friday. Period.

8/28- WOW! It was an S day and I forgot to eat supper (yes, I said forgot to eat supper!) and wasn't even hungry. I don't remember that even ever happening! So it was a good ol' green day! Woohoo! I have to say that I'm off to a great start! The better I do, the easier it gets.
8/29- I'm off to such a great start! I've even exercised for the day.
8/30-
8/31- not even tempted! Wow
9/1 - classic case of over confidence. It was feeling "normal" to just eat my 2-3 meals and so when my homeade eggrolls were sitting there, I caved and had seconds thinking that it would have fit on my plate it I'd have put it on in the first place... ...then that lead to another and 2 doughnuts. Good grief! AND it was the first day of the month! What a way to start it off!
9/2  snacking
9/3  S Day

My kids (4 of them) started school Monday so I have the house to myself during the day. This is my best eat-right time of year. I'm going for it this year!!!

Fresh week.

Post by tobiasmom » Sat Aug 27, 2011 3:42 pm

I'm in! A "perfect" week for me will be vanilla No-S for the entire week with reasonable S days (one S event each S day). I haven't had an entire GREEN week in ages!

8.28: :D S DAY!
8.29: :D SUCCESS!
8.30: :D SUCCESS!
8.31: :( FAILURE!
9.01: FAILURE!
9.02: FAILURE!
9.03: S-DAY!

Not a great week. Three reds. Darn. I plan to do MUCH better next week!

Boy I hope I have a better week...thanks for starting another post.

Goal.....follow No S to the "T" Monday thru Friday, NO reds for the week..yesterday I ate so many snacks and don't even want to go there today!

8/28  S Day
8/29
8/30  we had roast beef sandwiches, fries, and onion rings..wow in the past I would not touch these things..but on occasion I'm finding it is good to allow myself to eat a tad unhealthy! The sanity...wow!
8/31
9/1  went to bingo and had pizza for dinner, not feeling like it is a no no is great...
9/2
9/3 So the weekend begins...I wonder if I'll be binge free as I have 2 parties on today and one tomorrow.but at least I'm free to have a piece of cake!

So this coming weekend I'm going to do what one poster suggested to me...1 snack, 1 sweet, 1 seconds...my stomach shrinks all week only to be stretched on the weekends..can't be good...poor tummy is like okay now what is coming my way..:)

I am in this week also. My motivation in joining this week's challenge is the Labor Day 5K I signed up for. I want a good healthy week of eating plus exercise. These are my goals:
Vanilla No S with no more than 2 S events on my S days.
Some running every day except next Saturday. (Next Saturday and Sunday will be mild exercise only in preparation for the 5K.)

8/28: 3 mile walk/jog...No S events today, but food choices at meals were indulgent...
8/29: 3 mile walk/jog...green day
8/30: 3 mile walk/jog....green day
8/31: 2 mile walk/jog...green day
9/1: 2 mile walk/jog....green day
9/2: 2.5 mile walk/jog...green day
9/3:

It was the 1 year anniversary yesterday. Down 60 lbs Weight loss stalled the last month but was able to maintain. I'm doing pure vanilla No s this week with a very small plate size- about 6" The scale has begun to move again. I'm 66 years old - I mean YOUNG ! The health changes this year have been amazing. My goal is another 30 lbs. Hopefully by the end of 2011.

This has been a very spiritual journey. I truly give God all the praise & glory for this. I'm one very thankful lady.

It surely happens to the best of us. I know I would have ended up the same way...seems like most of us can't deviate even a smidge or we cave. You sound like you are ready for a new week...hug yourself...

Success for me this week. It was a very hectic week which made my exercise a little less intense than I planned, but it was okay. Eating was okay too. I did have alcohol twice this week which I had planned to avoid.

Today is a planned day of rest, but I will at least do some walking.
