Four meals
I am sure that this topic has been discussed somewhere in this forum, but I was wondering if anyone eats 4 small meals a day instead of 3 meals on a regular basis?

I am on one three medium and one small meal a day
This is my third time trying the NoS diet, and this time it seems to be sticking. I didn't seem to be able to get through the gap between lunch and supper (including being in the kitchen to cook for the family). So I have a small meal (okay, it's a snack, but a scheduled snack) at about 5pm. It's always a slice of toast with butter, or two apples. By limiting what I can have I keep the 'meal' to what I really need to get me through the next 2 1/2 hours.
I've been solid on the diet for six weeks and have lost two kilos.

Just want to say that I was so sure I wouldn't be able to keep to three meals because I was so used to eating 5 times a day and didn't think I could eat enough at meals to get me through. I do still allow myself milky coffee between meals, but I am so glad I've found that three meals is all I need a day. For me that is so much easier than trying to control what I can have as a snack. A beverage is all the leeway i want to give myself.

Four meals a day is what works best for me. I tried many plans and systems and with four meals I feel "at home". This way I am able to control the portions by knowing the next meal is max. 4 hours away. I did not feel happy when it was 5-6 or more hours. I felt deprived and angry, and overeated at the meals. Now, at lunch, I eat half of what I ate before, because I know next nice (not necessarily big) meal will be in 4 hours. And the portion control is what works in my case.
I have breakfast 7-8 am, lunch 11-12, "tea" 3-4 and dinner 7-8. The regularity feels good to me.
Thanks to No S, I completely changed my attitude to food. I learned to eat only at meals, decide exactly what I will eat BEFORE I start and stick to it no matter how tempting it is to finish off my kids plate (this was like a revolution in my life), give meals their importance. All my life I was a random eater, never satisfied, always overeating. I feel so happy with structure. So although I do not follow vanilla No S, the general No S principles helped me find the way out and I am very grateful for it.

Sounds like it worked exactly as it's supposed to, by reinforcing consistent moderation.
