So I on my 2nd day following the No S diet. I am having a lot of problems with hunger. I'm used to eating something every 2 hrs. So this is quite a change for me. How long did it take people to get used to not snacking? Also, I've been noticing that I have been eating way more at meals than I normally would because I know I won't be able to have a snack. It goes so far that I am uncomfortably full. I guess I am just confused, I don't want to stuff myself at meals but I get hungry and cant snack? Advice?? Thanks!
Welcome, Tyh! It's fine to eat some pretty big plates at meals if it helps you to resist snacks. Later, you learn to adjust amounts to what you can comfortably eat and what will hold you over to the next meal. But in the first stages of habit building, that's the focus: one plate of food, no seconds, no snacks. Best of luck!

Welcome, Tyh! Eating every two hours is more of a habit than a necessity. It's not as if you can't have anything every two hours. You can have a glass of milk, juice, water, coffee, or tea.
It's not unusual for people to fill their plates to overflowing initially. If you're feeling overstuffed, cut back a little on the food so you're satisfied but not stuffed and take advantage of the fact that you can have something to drink if you need it.
Something to remember: While hunger can be incredibly annoying, it's not an emergency. It's not as if you don't know when you will have food again.

Be sure what you're really feeling is hunger. I used to get the greatest urges to snack within 3 hours after a meal. I realized I wasn't hungry. I just had an urge to eat more. Habit. Now I prefer the true hungry feeling and am willing to wait for it! (And overeating can be a trigger for eating more, once the full feeling subsides. but it's not a real need.)
