"You will get fat..." (5-year report)
Hello everyone!
I'm back to report that I've hit my 5-year No-S anniversary.
In 2011 I was 162 pounds (I'm male) with a beer belly and I started doing No S for real. 1 year later I was 150 pounds, thin and strong.
I'm happy to report that I'm still 150 pounds, thin and strong.
I have successfully been able to keep doing just vanilla No-S with strength excercises on weekdays (weights at the gym and/or shovelglove and running twice a week).
I'm very glad of my success because during these 5 years of doing No S I've come across many important moments in my life (getting married, moving twice, etc.) and people always tell: "When you get married, you will get fat, When you do X or Y, you will get fat, etc"...
Last august my wife and I became parents and yes, things change with a baby, especially time-wise, but despite people telling me "Now that you have a baby you will get fat", No S is so so doable that 7 months after my son was born, I'm still at my 150 pounds weight, thin and stronger than ever.
If you have any question or whatever, please let me know. Thank you!
Greetings everyone!

NOW THAT'S SUCCESS!
Thank you for taking the time to post your testimonial. There are SO many different schools of food-thought out there it can be tempting to go off-piste. I've been doing No S for while now and very happy with the stability it brings to my weight and eating behaviour. I hope to be able to post a similar report in 5 years' time. I had my baby 30 years ago - the things that 'make you fat' at my age are age, menopause etc - there's always something to blame!
What a lucky baby you have in your family - does your wife do No S as well?

How didi I not get in on this? It's interesting that you were able to get to your maintenance weight in one "swoop" and stay there. It's one way it happens!
I'm so glad you back up what I tell people: this can get a person through a LOT of changing situations, if s/he really embraces it.
(BTW, since you've lasted 5 years, your chance of relapse drops to only 25%. Yeah, it takes this long to get there!)
See you in five years.
