Hi Reinhard!

This got me started. Fist weekend was great. I'll let you know in a few months how it developed.

Thanks a lot!

All the best

I have come up and beta testing "Even hours luddite".
The rule - Only engage in problematic screen behaviour at full odd hours, for cca 10 minutes. Not a full odd hour mark? Forget it and move on to something else.
This keeps my instagram addiction afloat, my mail/instant messaging responses omnipresent enough, while also disassociating them from coping mechanism cues. All sessions combined, it amounts to healthy enough maximum less-than-2-hours a day.
It leaves me a good almost two full contiguous hours between distractions.
It is hard to track properly and to always practice, but i try to resort to it whenever i feel the need, and then it works.

Sounds promising -- keep us posted!

I once tried a "Weekend and Evening Luddite" approach (sounds like a cell phone plan) but pulled back to the original.

Learned something from the experiment, at least, I think.
