too much food this weekend. I just slipped back into my old habits too easily. I need to make sure that I remember the 'sometimes' on S days. Next weekend I'm going to plan in a treat on each day, but otherwise stick to the rules. Looking forward to tomorrow (even though it involves a painful visit to the dentist!) and regaining control....
Are you using some kind of tracking system - like Reinhard's HabitCal or just a plain old kitchen calendar where you mark off the days? That's what I do - using green, yellow, and red markers. The visual effects help to bolster my resolve to continue NoEssing, particularly after a less than successful S day.

Thanks Mimi - I am trying to use the habit cal, but think I need something more immediately visible. I'll try using the year calendar in my diary.
I am doing well with the no S days this week - it's one week since I found this diet and I've lost 2 pounds! And that includes 2 S days where I did pretty badly. That has really inspired me to keep going and make sure I don't lose control on S days.

See there! 2 pounds - very good! My calendar hangs on the side of our refrigerator - highly visible! The last thing I do before retiring at night is to make my big green (hopefully!) X through the date. I have NoS refrigerator magnets as well. One in on the front of the refrigerator and the other is on the side of my filing cabinet at school where I can see it from my desk. I also have a NoS coffee mug that I use in the morning for my coffee. Small investments that pay off in a big way. They help to keep me in the NoS mind set at the start of each day. Keep up the great work!!

Another good 2 days. Went out for a meal tonight, but only had the main course and didn't touch even one marshmallow from the kids desserts! This diet really does make you think about what you eat - I didn't realise I picked at food so much - during cooking, making lunches, picking at what the kids leave, grabbing something nice from someone else's plate.... It's only since I've stopped myself from doing this through no S that I've started to realise how much I was eating! Looking forward to another good day tomorrow - even with the lunch that's on offer at work tomorrow!
The weekend was better than last weekend, but I could still reduce the amount of sweet things I eat. Had success today though and I've lost another pound! I'm not doing so well with exercise, but have decided to concentrate on the diet habits first and then introduce the exercise habits next month. I've lost a few pounds quite regularly over the last year, but then lose interest and put them back on, so I'm determined to keep to the habits this time and make sure the pounds stay off.
Woo-hoo! Another pound bites the dust! Keep up the great work Sally! Your approach to engraining habits first before adding more to your load is very smart. I have to do the same thing or I am easily overwhelmed and/or lose interest.

Don't you dare! You can start fresh today! One day at a time - it sounds like you really needed the snack yesterday, so look back and see if you ate enough at your meals. Try filling your plates a little fuller today so that you won't be as hungry and therefore tempted to snack. You can do it!
