Reinhard,
Do you consciously eat your meals with macronutrients in mind? In other words, do you guesstimate the number of grams of protein (for example) you want to eat each day, or do you simply eat one plate of food and call it a meal? The reason I ask is because we're innundated with how many grams of protein, fiber, fat, etc. we need each day if we want to function properly.
I pretty much ignore all of this and eat one plate of food/meal. Sure makes this (NoS) system of eating fairly effortless!

Never. I don't count, I don't guesstimate. I just eat three meals a day. Now I do make sure to eat a rough balance of foods -- animal products, fruits, vegetables, grains. But that's far simpler and pretty much accords with what I want to eat anyway.
Unless you are very ill or a professional athlete, fussing over nutrients isn't necessary -- in fact, it's a dangerous distraction. No one had the slightest clue about any of this stuff until very recently (except for the odd vitamin c deprived mariner) and they did fine (and in terms of managing excess, much better). The reason you hear about it all the time is not because it's important, but because people are trying to sell you stuff.
