Many of you are probably familiar with the movie Hoosiers starring Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper -- about the small town (Milan) Indiana school who won the state basketball championship against the team from the larger school in South Bend.
Something similar happened again. Today the team from Indianapolis Metropolitan High School, a charter school, won the Class A State Basketball Tournament. Most of us hadn't heard of this high school until this week. There's just over 400 students at the school, which has no gym and not even a basketball hoop. The team -- all 8 members -- practice in city parks.
