Though I was a little pudgy at puberty, I was slim until I was in my 40s. In my mind's eye, I'm still that slimmer person. I can't say I ever thought I was "fat." Even though I'm heavier now, I'm more physically uncomfortable than mentally uncomfortable.

With the exception of sweets on No-S days, there are no restrictions as to what you can eat. You can even have chips or fries, as long as they're with a meal and not a snack. Everyone has given you good advice. Make sure you eat enough. Fill your plate with food and enjoy!

The problem with more restrictive diets is that they're not sustainable. As soon as you go back to eating more "normally", the weight returns. This may not lead to quick weight loss, but it's sustainable.

I LOVE lentil soup. That recipe is very similar to how I make it except I use tomato sauce instead of salsa. When serving, I often add a splash of red wine vinegar or lemon juice. It gives it some zing!

I remember a lot of rice with milk, cinnamon/sugar and milk. It's one of my favorite things to eat when my tummy isn't happy -- or even when it is! Sometimes just a bit of butter, too. Really, the only thing between it and rice pudding was maybe some eggs and longer cooking time!
