I was at the doctor's today and had a spot check of my a1c (measure of blood glucose over about 3 months). For the first time in years it was normal! I'm pretty thrilled. I dread blood sugar tests but I was so happy about this one. I think it really is because of the three meals regime of NoS, which I adopted about six months ago. I'm not (yet) eating lightly enough for my menopausal self to drop weight, but keeping my prediabetes in check is even more important to me.
This is great news!! I think that it doesn't matter what kind of "diet" we choose to follow. No-S has to be the foundation to make it work.was at the doctor's today and had a spot check of my a1c (measure of blood glucose over about 3 months). For the first time in years it was normal!
Congratulations on your success.
That is so fantastic! I'm so glad to hear you say your blood readings are more important than the weight loss. I'd be more bummed if I got thinner but still had disease-dangerous readings. And the fact that you've done it with sustainable habits is even better, IMHO.
